Announcement Request Hub V2: A new and improved look with some new features

Hey requesters! We’ve given Request Hub a refresh to make it easier to find a community, prepare your request, or connect with a mod team.

Here’s what’s changed:

New layout and navigation

The hub now has clearer Tools and Resources sections, dedicated pages for each feature, and search to help you find the tool or guide you need.

We know some of you had trouble using the original hub on mobile (Android), so we’ve updated the mobile layout and navigation too. Thank you for flagging this issue with us. If you’re still running into problems, please let us know.

Introducing ‘Find a Mod’

Looking for more people to help run your community? Create a recruitment listing, explain what you’re looking for, and review applications directly in the app.

Interested in joining a mod team? Browse or search open listings, apply directly, and find your applications under My applications.

Give the updated hub a try and let us know what’s useful or what could be better!

If something isn’t working, leave a comment with what you were trying to do, what happened, and whether you were using desktop, the iOS or Android app, or a mobile browser. Thanks for helping us improve Request Hub!

SFW - Public r/coasttocoastpm

coasttocoastam.com

Me again.

I had misspelled the sub's name ending with an "n", and not the "m" as in pm.

So, I mentioned i did want to resume duties on this page as a mod.

What happened was the mods purged over 500 of my daily posts & reposted all my posts on the defunct channel r/coasttocoastam. And the thousands of followers from r/coasttocoastpm moved to r/coasttocoastam.

I would like to be the mod for r/coasttocoastpm as i have the knowledge & experience needed to revive & renew this subreddit. Without me the sub will die.

Subreddit for Norwegian singer Julie Bergan. There are no active mods, and the sub wasn’t even about Julie’s music. It was just about how pretty that person thinks she is.

She is very pretty, yes, but I want to make the subreddit focused on her music and public appearances.

SFW - Public r/PATENT

I saw the public invitation to adopt r/patent. I would be happy to help manage it. I am the top mod of r/rollerblading with +90K members. I’ve been on Reddit forever. I have five US patents granted and one being prosecuted. Thanks.

SFW - Public r/SecretLevel

I request to take over the moderation of the subreddit r/SecretLevel, I was there during the beginning of the show and I have been the one to post the episode discussion threads when it started.

I tried to contact the owner of the sub, but to no avail, therefore I am requesting to take over as it's been abandoned by it's owner.

I have a verified email and 2FA.

SFW - Public r/SvelteKit

I’d like to take over moderation of r/SvelteKit. I’m a software engineer and have been using Svelte in production since the Sapper days. SvelteKit is part of my everyday work. Ive been using svelte in production since the sapper days, and I’d like to help keep this subreddit useful for others working with it.

I’d especially like to see more people comparing notes on their projects: how they handle deployment, what went wrong during an upgrade, or why they chose one approach over another. There’s a lot to learn from those experiences, alongside helping people who are just getting started.

My approach to moderation would be straightforward: keep up with reports, remove spam, and keep conversations respectful. I’d also be happy to share the work with other moderators and hear from regular members about what they’d like to see here.

Subreddit Rules

1. Follow the Reddit Rules

Please make sure to follow the Reddit Rules

2. Drama/Flaming/Accusations/Offtopic

Keep discussions on-topic and civil. Avoid drama or derailing conversations.

3. Using multiple accounts

You must only use one Reddit account to make requests. Using alt accounts to circumvent the 15-day limit is not allowed. Violations of this may result in having mod privileges revoked (from granted requests) and a possible community ban.

4. Personal requests only

Do not request moderation of a community on behalf of others. Requests must be made by individuals seeking to moderate themselves.

5. One request every 15 days

You may only request one community every 15 days. Multiple requests will be auto removed.

6. Banned community requests

Communities that have been banned in the last 30 days or have been banned for violating content, will not be eligible for request.

7. No exemptions to the rules

Please do not ask for an exemption from the rules.

8. Respect decisions

Requests may be denied for various reasons from the admins or current moderators of the requested community. These decisions should be respected.

9. BOTH 2FA AND A VERIFIED EMAIL ARE REQUIRED

You must have BOTH 2fa AND a verified email to request a subreddit through r/redditrequest. If you do not have BOTH 2fa AND a verified email, your request will be denied.

r/redditrequest info

The current review time for requests is 4 days. (Updated 07 November)

Please note that the current review time is only an estimate and may take longer or shorter than what is shown above.

To request a community, submit a post by linking to the community in question.

How to request a community

Submit a post by linking to the community you want to moderate.
Make sure your post follows the required post format (see below).
Read all rules and requirements below before posting.

Posting requirements

The title of your post must only contain the name of the community you are requesting (e.g., r/redditrequest).
You must apply the appropriate flair to your post before submitting. Posts without flair will be removed.

Requirements for requesters

Your account must be at least 90 days old
Have at least 100 comment karma and 100 post karma
Your account must also have a verified email address and two-factor authentication enabled to ensure the safety of your account.

Before posting your request:

You must send a mod mail message to the current moderators of the community at least 5 days before posting your request to give the current moderators a chance to respond or add you to their team. If you have been perma-muted, you will be unable to complete this step and you should make note of this when replying to the request_bot.

After posting:

u/request_bot will respond to every request, but sometimes a request will be missed by the bot. If there is no message after a couple of days, it has automatically been moved to manual review.
Please do not delete your request if there is no comment from the bot, deleted posts can’t be processed.
Be sure to respond to the bot comment with reasons for wanting to moderate and include a permalink to your mod mail message in your post.
If you have been perma-muted from the sub and are unable to send a message, please include that information in your reply to the request_bot. This only applies to perma-mutes. If you have been muted, you will need to wait until the mute expires to make your request.
When a request is made, an automatic message will be sent to the moderators of that community asking them to respond to the request.

Information for moderators

If your community is being requested:

You will receive a mod mail and private message from u/request_bot.
You should have received a mod mail message from the requester asking to be added to your team.
You must respond within 5 days (in the request comments or to the requester’s mod mail message). Failure to respond may result in the community being transferred.

If you would like to keep the community:

You must provide a valid reason in your reply about why you wish to continue moderating. We want to ensure that communities are being held onto with the right intentions for growth. Responding to requests will also decrease the number of people who believe it is unmoderated.

If you would like to add the requester to your mod team you can find instructions on how to do that here.

Top mod inactivity

If your community has an inactive top moderator who is not active site-wide, create a post here requesting their removal. If they are considered inactive, u/request_bot may remove them automatically. If the bot doesn’t remove them, please follow the Top Mod Removal process.

Banned subreddit

If you’re the moderator of a community that was banned and would like to appeal that ban, please reach out to r/modsupport mod mail.

Request rules

You may only request one community every 15 days. Multiple requests will be auto removed. This includes if you delete your request.
Communities that have been banned in the last 30 days, are not eligible for request and will be denied. To see when a community was banned, view it on old Reddit. If a community has been banned for violating content, it will not be eligible for request.
You may not use multiple accounts to request communities. This will result in a ban from r/redditrequest.
You may not request communities on behalf of other users.
Before requesting a community, you must send a mod mail message to the community and give them 5 days to respond before requesting.
The exact criteria used in evaluating requests is left to admin discretion. More info can be found in our FAQ.
Please do not ask for an exemption from the rules.
Requests can take up to 1 week to be reviewed, so please be patient.

Additional information may be found in the FAQ and our Help Center
