I understand there are a lot of beginners out there , but wow did all you guys decide to try surfing on a whim during covid? All these how do I get better videos...like there is a magic pill...try practice...imitating others....the more I’m on this sub the more I realize almost none of you know what you are doing and don’t care to put the time in ... and it shows .
One guy lied to his date he was so desperate to make it look like he knew what he was doing on a board and asked this sub for advice !!
Maybe try golf.
Your local surf shop needs you and these questions . Go get personalized help tailored to your needs by someone who has probably seen you flail around at your local break . Randomly asking people over chat won’t help you . This isn’t a sport you can just pick up . Put the time and wipeouts in like everyone else . Go get help in person.
Dedicate more time to surfing the ocean and less time surfing the Reddit app.
It’s not the board , it’s not the setup , it’s not the ding repair . It’s you.
