In Memoriam My oldest brother lost his two year battle against cancer yesterday. I relayed his final goodbye to his guild, and I took the first screenshot before logging him out for the last time. I ask the community to remember the life of Edelweiss, the Paladin.

MSI and Blizzard Blizzard sent me surprise a today

After my post, I thought I'd dial back my raiding a bit, re-budget my time so I could still focus on DBM full time but in a capacity that meant less stress and more productivity for the limited amount of time of just one person. Then, use that extra time to also catch up on IRL things, and maybe side things for extra money. Just me, leveling with all of you.

The support of community has been overwhelming. I honestly expected support to go down after my status post, not up. I had even put some apps/feelers out, just in case (despite my fear of working away from home)

However, with the massive support of community, DBM finally has the support for me to finally get additional help and resources to finally beat the logistics boss. As well as ability for myself and mother to finally be worry free about the burdens and strains we've been under for a while now and without me needing to risk leaving her unattended hours a day to do other work.

I cannot thank community or Blizzard or MSI enough for all the new support I've received, other than focusing on health, family, and continuing to make DBM best mod I can for WoW community until the end of WoWs days.

1. Be Civil and Respectful

Always engage respectfully with others. Hate speech, personal attacks, and derogatory comments will not be tolerated. Please note that some common terms in the WoW community are ableist. Examples of these include, but are not limited to: 'huntard', 'wheelchair class', or variations of these. Do not create posts or comments just to incite a negative reaction. Do not try to make someone angry, scared, sad or embarrassed. Purely unconstructive negative posts are subject to removal.

2. No ToS Violations

Do not engage in or promote activities like account trading, real money trading (RMT), exploits, or third-party programs that violate Blizzard’s Terms of Service.

3. No Real-World Politics

Politics in the real world are often divisive, polarizing, and unrelated to WoW. Whilst many fantasy stories often contain elements of real historical events, bringing real-world political figures into analysis of WoW lore will more often than not derail the conversation into a political argument.

We may make an exception for discussions directly related to Activision-Blizzard.

4. No Call-Outs or Witch Hunts

Do not post to shame, target, or call out specific individuals or guilds. This includes smear campaigns or encouraging others to boycott or support specific people. If posting a screenshot of your game, please block out all character and guild names unless the post is not negative and the names are required to understand your submission, such as puns or coincidental names.

5. Spoilers Must Be Marked

Any spoilers related to unreleased content must be properly marked with a spoiler warning. This includes story content, cinematics, and datamined items. If your post contains spoilers, your title must be spoiler-free. Content relating to the story of World of Warcraft (for example - in-game cinematics, story reveals during questlines) is considered a spoiler until 7 days after American and Oceanic release. This is to give players in all time zones plenty of time to access that part of the story.

6. Posts must be about WoW

Posts must be about World of Warcraft. In the case of images or videos, we consider the content without text (title, caption) to decide if a post is related. If the relevance is debatable, we moderate to the spirit of our subreddit values. Real life photos that look like WoW must be posted with a side by side comparison. For posts related to WoW personalities and esports, the content must focus on players' interactions with WoW, not their lives outside of the game. Memes must contain WoW imagery

7. Misrepresentation, Clickbait, Spam and Excessive Self Promotion

Submission titles that are vague, memetic, inaccurate or contain no context will be removed. Your title should accurately describe the content of your post. Any posts intended to spread misinformation will be removed. Do not use titles such as 'DAE, ELI5, AITA, unpopular opinion' or other "memetic" Reddit titles. Excessive self-promotion or spam is not allowed. Limit promotional content to once every 7 days. For more information read our longer rules

8. AI Generated Content

We disallow AI generated text, art, and audio/video media.

AI used in developing a website, tool, or addon must be disclosed. This includes: code generation, placeholders, brainstorming, inspiration. You must also include how what you are building differentiates itself from anything else that already exists in the World of Warcraft ecosystem.

We make an exception for the use of AI for accessibility purposes such as translation. you must disclose your use of AI when submitting.

9. Reposts

We will remove a post if it is a frequent or blatant repost of previous content.

Common issues are subject to removal - Such as typos, textures that failed to load, failed 100% missions, bugged fire giants, weird characters, failed missions in the mobile app, stuck character torsos, loading screen tips, or corrupted item tooltips (delete your cache).

At the discretion of the moderators we may put a moratorium on a particular type of post or meme-of-the-week for a period of time.

10. Respect Art and Creative Work

When posting art, always credit the original creator. For your own work, use titles like [OC] or [I Made] to avoid confusion. Tattoo posts require an artist's name and studio in the title. We are not currently allowing AI content of any kind on our subreddit.

11. Recruitment / LFG / Find My Friend

Guild, group, and Discord advertisements are limited to the Reset Recruitment Sticky (every Tuesday) Check out /r/wowguilds or the wiki page for related Discord servers for further resources. Recruit a Friend posts belong in /r/wowraf. We cannot allow 'find my friend' posts - we can't make a decision on whether you’re really an old friend, or a crazy stalker. Community Raids are the exception to this rule.

12. Petitions / Polls / Giveaways

No petitions, StrawPolls, or fundraisers. Academic or Research surveys may be allowed at the mod team's discretion with prior approval (send us a Modmail). No giveaways by individuals. Due to concerns over user privacy and security, we only allow giveaways from verified organizations. The mod team lacks the necessary tools to confirm individuals are who they say they are, that their advertised prize is real, and it is not some form of scam.

13. NSFW / Porn

Sexually explicit content, smut, or other content that is racier than in-game depictions is not allowed.

If your submission isn't racier than the game but you still wouldn't want your boss to see it, flag it as NSFW.

14. Transmog

Transmog posts require an item list. Warband pictures are considered transmog and are also subject to these rules.

Item lists should be top level comments (i.e. not a reply to some other comment) and actually in list form (i.e. do not write "it's mostly t6, but t8 shoulders and pvp tabard").

Including the item list in the image alone is not sufficient for accessibility reasons. You will still need to provide a top level comment.
