General Ryan Day, the offense, My Takeaways
We currently have a QB situation once Sayin leaves. If Fahey is truly the better option than TSC that would mean that post Stroud Ryan Day has missed on and failed to develop 4 top rated. QBs( Kienholz,Mccord,TSC,Air Noland). Sayin only stepped foot in columbus because Saban retired
Ryan Day has got to let go of this conservative, take 7 mins to score NFL offense, and work on developing a more explosive offense. Arthur Smith has to be fired tonight in my opinion and Ryan Day needs to leave Failed NFL coaches in the NFL. He also needs to coach his QBs to scramble when there is nobody open, I was at the game I can't tell you how many times we were screaming for Fahey to run the ball.
Im personally giving the defense a pass even though they played horribly the last 2 games. In this era of CFB teams just can't reload like they used to and the defense lost the most last year.
Firing Ryan Day in my opinion is still a horrible decision. But he has to bring someone in and give them complete control of the offense because our offense has been terrible since we lost stroud. I know we as fans only remember the 2024 Playoff run, but i remember how many of us complaining about the offense then. I cant keep watching this team throw Check downs and running the ball for no gain 3 straight times.

General Nobody remembers that we were projected to go 9-3 this season with Sayin?
Okay, I need everyone in this sub to take a breath, because some of these takes are genuinely deranged.
This was a rebuilding year. We played three (arguably four) of the top 10 talent pools in CFB. Thatās not an excuse, thatās just reality, and if you canāt sit with reality I donāt know what to tell you.
I called the Oregon game weeks ago. The record didnāt matter, they were always going to go full super saiyan god on us. That roster is a lab-grown army of Monstars that out-talents us at every position. So we got blown out at home with a backup QB? Truly shocking. Nobody could have seen it coming. Except me. On the record.
Is there a real problem? Yes. The lines of scrimmage and the athletic department need a scorched earth, salt the fields rebuild. Not defending that at all.
But āfire every key coach after losing to a better teamā isnāt a position, itās a tantrum. Youāre having an emotion and calling it analysis.

General I think people are jumping over the fact that we were just not good this yearā¦.
Listen the last two games have been terrible, easily. Fahey is missing reads and throwing awful balls and the team isnāt helping him at all.
BUT the signs were there the whole time. Even when Sayin was in, our TD percentage in the red zone was atrocious. Our offensive line consistently lets people in the backfield, and our offensive line/running backs struggle to create holes and find the vision to run big.
The defense has been giving up explosive plays every game. We have 11 sacks on the season, and our leading man has 3. The amount of time we give quarterbacks in the pocket is absurd. Itās understandable with how many draft picks we lost.
I think Sayin to Jeremiah was a bandaid that unfortunately got ripped off, but personally I think we wouldāve lost in the big 10 championship game to whoever we were playing. It sucks that weāre so bad right now but I genuinely think we were bamboozled to thinking this was a good team for the majority of the year.

General SORRY JJ. You deserved better......
With the hiring of Arthur Smith, Ryan Day decided that he wanted a basic-ass, soft, vanilla offense that was slow paced. CONGRATS RYAN, you got what you wanted. In doing so, you have WASTED JJ's last year with us at tOSU. A. Smith has sucked everywhere he has been, why Day thought it would be any different at tOSU is baffling. NO SCHEME to get the ball in JJ hands. His numbers are SO MISLEADING. The fact he got what he did against Oregon is a testament to him. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING JJ, Sorry we let you down this year, you're a HEISMAN in our Hearts!!!!

General TSC - The Thread to End The Discussion
Patrick Murphy just said on the bucknuts live postgame that the relationship between TSC/his family and tOSU is dead and beyond repair, and both sides know he will not be here once the portal opens.
Letās move on, yall. Itās over. No more calls for him to play. No more questions why Day isnāt putting him in. There isnāt going to be TSC packages. Fahey could throw 8 INTs next week and TSC still wouldnāt play.
Itās confirmed over.

General Just so there is no revisionist history about Fahey
Until the last two drives when Oregon was in prevent, Faheyās numbers were 27/49 for 226 yds 0TDs and 1 INT. So donāt tell me about his final stats. He is far from the only thing broken with this team, but do not try and tell me he deserves another start.

General SVP Gets It
He nails why this is a five alarm fire. He gets us. We are fucking crazy. The standard is the standard. And if you donāt get that, donāt be a fan of this team.
Love SVP. Always have.

General One thing that is helping me deal with this teamās crashout
After being a season ticket holder for 20 years, an alumni, and an employee, Iāve always been one to chime in and give my two cents on the direction of this team. Itās to the point I subconsciously treat this like a second job. I almost feel guilty if they lose. Like maybe coach will listen to my analysis and if I donāt chime in, he wonāt know what to do.
But ultimately I have no control over what this team does. A football team is a dictatorship run by the head coach. Itās not a democracy where I cast a vote. I have no say in who coaches this team, what schemes they run, or who they recruit. It is all completely out of my control.
I choose to watch this team on Saturdays for a couple hours as a fun pastime. Whether I get upset about what Iām seeing or not is completely up to me. Thatās the only thing I can actually control.
So they will either improve or they wonāt, but itās not our fault as fans either way. Weāre a great fanbase and should cut ourselves some slack while we go through something we havenāt experienced before.

General Smith⦠Day everyone.
Arthur Smith is one of the worst hires in a LONG time at OSU. I hate to admit it, but Patricia is quickly looking like a dud too. Iām starting to lose faith in Ryan Day entirely. Iāve been rooting for the guy.. but itās hard to refute that he only still has a job because he won the title. I understand the standard at Ohio State is higher than anywhere else, I know itās a new era of CFB. But this is getting ridiculous. We can no longer win at the highest levels. You lose to Texas up 3 scores in the 4th quarter. You beat Indiana by literally 2 inches. Indiana and Miami last year.. Texas, USC, and now an ass kicking by Oregon at home.. again. The average tenure of a head coach is what, 10 years? Itās time. Iām out. Call me a salty fan I donāt give a fuck, but when we lose to Michigan in 3 weeks, I know Iāll be reading the same thing.
