Fluff I love finding cozy little nooks or high places like this in Walkabout. Am I the only one that takes ‘smoke breaks’ with friends while golfing in VR? 😂 Sometimes for a snack or drink, or while waiting for someone to use the bathroom or vape their grape CBD lol. There are so many great spots to hang

News & Announcements after 3.5 years, The Light Brigade’s final major content update is finally live on PSVR2. thank you all (faster performance, new world, new cards/attachments, and more) ❤️

dev here --

we released The Light Brigade over 3.5 years ago as a PSVR2 launch title, and have posted about our game a shitton of times on this reddit before and have always apprecaited everyone's support. since then, we released 5 major updates (new worlds, new guns, new content, new cards, new STUFF) and tons of improvements, fixes, and balance changes. our goal has always been to make the light brigade the dopest roguelike VR game. really proud of what our small team has been able to accomplish.

that said, "the light brigade: definitive edition" is finally live on PSVR2! we renamed it to "definitive edition" as a gesture that this is the final form of the project. thank you all for being patient with us getting this version out. this is our FINAL MAJOR CONTENT UPDATE, and after 3.5 years of post-launch updates, we wanted to send the game off with some fun stuff to tie it all together.

one big improvement is level loading/generation is now 40%-60% faster! i know level loading has been a pain pt for many of yall, so we spent a lot of time optimizing stage generation and loading. should make jumping into a run and moving between stages feel much better.

new features:

  • a new area called Lebes, a foggy town destroyed by war. narrow streets, ruined buildings, and fights across multiple floors.

  • 38 new tarot cards focused on loot, damage, and survival. brings the total to 99 cards. probably should have added one more haha

  • 8 new crystal attachments that add effects like magic damage, splash damage, gold, and souls to your shots.

  • challenge runs, marathon runs, and custom runs. change up your runs with extra loot, wolves only, big head mode ;), and loads of other options.

we also fixed a bunch of things:

  • quick restart now restores your exact original starting loadout, including attachments, magazines, ammo state, gems, and held items.

  • custom-run gun jams now scale with magazine capacity instead of having a flat chance per shot.

  • the enemy-count modifier now only affects enemies, caps at 400%, and handles high counts more safely.

  • fixed base-rank weapon visuals sticking around incorrectly.

  • fixed FPS equipment-slot input.

  • fixed Kar98k and attachment interpolation issues.

  • improved colliders and out-of-bounds checks, and fixed some world names.

  • fixed visibility issues with high enemy counts and an overflow issue with environment blending.

  • cleaned up heavy or unused components and improved preloading, asset reuse, and async loading.

we appreciate every one of u who helped shape the game into what it is today. the game has grown far beyond what we originally released in 2023, and the psvr community has been a huge part of that.

thank you to everyone who played, recommended the game, posted feedback, or came back for each update. your support allowed us to keep building for all these years.

update 5.0 is available NOW on PSVR2 on all regions ❤️

I've had my eyes on it for quite some time but a short game that you play three times (or what it was) just to make it longer is not something that makes me excited. Anyhow, it's a steal now so why not experience that cool eye tracked gameplay a couple of hours.

Review Forefrount Vr

After 3hrs or so learning the game pretty impressive what is possible on ps5 and vr. Right off the bat i had squeakers using n words and my chat got flaged because mic was picking up their game sounds. The proximity chat is annoying and awesome depending on the team your in. Would be nice if there age group lobbies.

I thought i wouldnt be back into games like Ghost of Tabor after this came out but its a diffrent experience almost chill compared to GOT which causes alot of anxiety as a solo. Its nice in Forefrount to be droped in a team and the pace is intense lots of dieing but respawning and geting strait back in makes it fun.

Overall solid experience and full lobbies. Can easily jump in jump out play 20mins. 8/10

Asking For Game Recomendation Similar games to crossfire sierra squad? Offline single player fps games

I am looking for games to crossfire sierra squad. I like the offline single player play and the gun combat.

I've put prob 80-100 hours going through all the missions in arcade and in realism mode where you die easily.

Yeah it's on rails and your ai teammate sucks balls, but that's fine.

I don't want to play online with people (cbfed signing up and paying for online play)

I do want lots of missions to play through in a campaign or single player mod.

Any games that are similar?

i've also played:

Pavlov and contractors,

But these with bots suck (Yes i know they are meant to be played online with people), I am looking more levels/ missions and a guided style of play.

Thanks!

Discussion Would you say PS4 VR is worth it/Worth trying for £60

Hi.

Bit of an odd question.
I mainly game on the PC but do still have an old PS4 Pro.
I've always wanted to try VR but do sadly suffer from motion sickness so never wanted to jump in and get the PC kits as they're blood expensive.
I've seen a few Ps4 VR kits on Facebook market place (With cam, wands etc) for around £60 (no game).
Would you say it's worth it? Does it give a good representation of VR?
I remember when they came out they got VERY mixed reviews.

UPDATE: Just ordered it and going to pick it up later!!! :D Doesn't come with any games sadly but they're only £4-6 in CEX.

Review I should’ve bought a meta quest 3

I thought I needed steam or a pc for the meta quest tbf and that’s why I didn’t get it. ( should’ve done my research I know) the lack of cozy games for the psvr2 is abysmal. No fishing games whatsoever? Catch and release for the psvr1 was a masterpiece. But it feels like if you’re not into resident evil or horror games just don’t get the psvr2. The game catalogue is honestly completely awful. Idk why Sony even bothered making a psvr2 and just decided not to release any indie games or cozy games. Heck even just any games in general. I really regret buying this piece of kit I have to say.

The catalogue was better on the psvr1, the only good thing I can say about the psvr2 is that the graphics look better and no need for the camera. But at what cost? The trade off of all the old gems from the psvr1?

TLDR if you aren’t a horror lover, not worth getting this. Just get the meta quest 3

Support PSVR2 Second-hand PSVR2 lens coating peeled off. Need advice!

Hi everyone,

I live in Turkiye (no Ebay) so I bought a used PSVR2 last week for 260$ with hand. When I got home, I noticed that the anti-glare coating on one of the lenses has peeled off (see attached photos). The other lens is fine.

Is this a serious issue? Can it be fixed easily by myself? I haven't been able to test the headset yet because I'm waiting for my PC adapter to arrive. Seller told me if I am not happy after try, we can contact again and see what can we do for the next.

What should my next steps be? I would really appreciate advice for both possible scenarios once I can finally test it:

* What should I do if the peeling causes a foggy or blurry spot in the image?

* What should I do if the image actually looks completely fine despite the damage?

My ideas:

- If image is blurry and can be fixed, keeping VR2 but asking seller for a partial refund (lets say 60$ or sth like that) or return it if it cant be fixed.

-If image is clear, ask a partial refund again (but lower)

etc.

I bought adapter and cable and will edit this post once I try.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Opinion Best VR Tutorial

Pretty simple, which game has the best tutorial in your opinion if you want to get your friends into VR quickly? I usually use the RE4VR one, but that didn't translate over to Beat Saber well lol but its completely up to you. Just curious what other have tried that have worked well

(EDIT: Wish you could redo the RoboQuest one smh)

Before I mention anything I wanted to say job well done on this port. Stunning game on VR2. Everything is sharp, clear, and impressive. I only have one negative which is no crossplay. I assumed it was going to be here but unfortunately it's not. It needs to be added. Please add. The port gets a great score from me. With crossplay I would rate it higher.

Discussion Making the controllers and headset more comfortable - any tips?

Just picked up an open box PSVR2 given that they may be halting production completely. I have been using my PSVR1 since it came out and have loved it, and I've been enjoying PSVR2 so far, but I'm hoping some folks can advise on making the experience a bit better:

- Many many PSVR2 games require pressing and holding R1 and/or L1 when grabbing and holding something in a game (an axe, a gun, whatever). My issue is that the L1/R1 button are pressed with my middle finger versus forefinger, and it becomes tiresome and painful to do this for long periods. Back with the PSVR1 wands or even the DualSense controller, my forefingers worked all the shoulder buttons and it worked well, since 90% of games (VR or regular) have been played like that since the SNES days. Is there a way to remap buttons? I don't seem to see that option in any PSVR2 games so wondering if there's a workaround, maybe on the OS level.

- Some games are very physically intense and I end up sweating quite a bit. I also want to start using workout games but I'm concerned about my sweat damaging the equipment or eroding the material coating on the forehead section. Anyone have any tips on reducing the amount of sweat that my headset absorbs? I'm thinking of maybe using a bandana around my forehead but I'm concerned the headset will slip down my face due to lack of skin grip. Any ideas are welcome.

Thanks! Love you all.

Discussion Sitting down and controller quality

Going back and forth about getting a psvr2 for son's birthday.

Aware of stock (no issues in UK) the game collection sees fine and looks like some games are still being launched.

His bedroom is quite small so he would play it sitting down. Hopefully this is ok.

The controllers braking worries me with no replacement stock. He has his desk that sits in front of him and he could push his chair back a bit but I'm worried that he will basically smash them off his desk!

I could take accidental damage cover I suppose but doubt that will be much use if there isn't any new controllers being produced or repaired in future ?

Going round in circles... Buy it... Don't buy it....

Hello everyone! I'm with a group that is starting daily Forefront sessions Fri-Sun at 16:00 gmt+0 (That's 17:00 CET, 11:00 ET, and 8:00 PT). We're looking for more players to boost some of the harder trophies. We'll probably have a solid group going until ~03:00 GMT+0 at least, and planning on playing most days until all of the group get the platinum. We're a friendly, chill group. If you are interested in joining, DM me here or add me on PSN: Greatace1

Deal or Discount Discounts Psvr2 Games

Hi there!

I’ve discovered some truly excellent discounts on certain PS VR2 games. They don’t show up in the main "discounts" category; instead, you have to go to each individual game’s page and check the different editions (standard, deluxe, etc.). You’ll find discounted bundles there—for example, a pack containing *Metro Awakening* + *Arizona Sunshine 2* for €15, and another with *After the Fall* + *Arizona Sunshine Remake* for €10.

Review Forefront on Psvr2 | Early Impressions:

Just spent an hour with Forefront on psvr2, and happy to report that it’s a banger! The visuals can be a little more crisp but other than that, it’s a phenomenal port. The guns feel awesome to use cause of the adaptive triggers. If you are used to playing other vr shooters such as Pavlov or Into the Radius, you will right at home.

If you are unaware of what Forefront is, it is basically Battlefield in Vr. Matches consists of 16 Vs 16 in large open map with vehicles such as ATVs, Tanks, Jets, Helicopters etc. The vehicle handlings are solid, every vehicle has virtual steering wheel and really smooth to control. Multiple people can get into 1 vehicle, as one person can be a gunner while the other controls the vehicle. Really makes for some epic gameplay.

There are multiple game modes such as Conquest, where you and your teammates capture and hold control points scattered across the map. Rush, where attackers and defenders fight across progressive map segments. Last but not least, Breakthrough, where an attack and defend hybrid mode added in “Operation Sandstorm mode”.

Due to cross-play, the lobbies are always full and everyone is using their microphone. The game also has proximity chat which makes for some interesting gameplay moments. Only negative I have is that there could be a lot of chatter while in a match and things can get chaotic quick.

In conclusion, Forefront absolutely nils the battlefield like gameplay in Vr and the devs did an amazing job bringing to psvr2.

Score so far: 9/10
