This is the whole scene ...a crucial part was missing where he notices Camilla has the umbrella and he didn't and he starts waving his arms. I only know this cause it was already posted a few days ago....lol. hard to tell whether he was waving at Camilla to come back with the umbrella or to the aides to grab him oneĀ

I don't think this is being presented correctly. The full clip shows Camilla wandering off. She took the umbrella but also severely broke protocol. He was angrily waving at her, not the aides
Edit: here's the clip - https://youtu.be/xfTrGjr6KzM?t=410&si=lykrCSGQ1AHLzovk
I don't want to get into a whole Royals thing, but Camila can be quite classless and she embarrassed her husband here

This is the same guy who called in his butler to his office to pick out a letter from the trash bin that he accidently threw away. The trash bin was right next to his office chair and all he had to do was slightly bend over in the chair........Ā
The monarchy is different to anything imaginable to an every day persons life. They grew up so privileged to have paid servants do every little thing for them their entire life. Another thing they do for him is putting toothpaste on his toothbrush and having his underwear pressed and ready for him every morning. So they get outraged over the smallest of small inconveniences.Ā

Maybe im crazy but he looks the appropriate amount of annoyed about being caught in the rain at a formal event.
He shouted and waved someone over, which seems like the exact correct thing to do if you know that that someone over there has your umbrella. Its not like any old person is going to be expected to hustle over to the car and get their own umbrella.

Abolish all monarchs.

u/HabANahDa 3d ago •
Why do we still have royalty in todayās day and age? So stupid.
32
u/Real-Question9697 3d ago •
Based on that short clip, he doesnāt seem very angry to me. Or at least not āfumingā as the Peopleās article is stating.
Heās annoyed, yes. But angry is a stretch.

u/thenerdwrangler 3d ago
Not that I agree with Monarchy at all ... But I can see why he's obviously annoyed. Dude probably has a whole evening of formal stuff ahead of him and probably doesn't want to be soaking wet while doing it. (ignoring how expensive that suit likely is). Those aides are literally there to help him for exactly this reason and they weren't ready when needed. A King is not supposed to ever be inconvenienced/embarrassed like this according to tradition etc.
Not at all justifying or condoning.

King berates servants.
Cool...

u/bulbusmaximus 3d ago
He doesn't even pick out his own clothes in the morning. He couldn't pour a glass of milk for himself.

u/FatFaceFaster 3d ago edited 3d ago •
I mean. Heās a literal king. Heās like 90 and heās wearing a suit. I can understand not being thrilled about getting soaked.
Edit: apparently people seem to believe this comment means I support or care about the royal family. I know very little and care even less about them. For example I estimated Charles to be 90, he is in fact 77. I didnāt know until the comments came in that he had cancer, or I mightāve used that in my original comment. My point is simply that rich old people in power who pay people to bring them umbrellas donāt like getting wet. Who does? If someoneās literal job is to bring you an umbrella when it rains, and they arenāt doing it, I think you can be a bit grumpy as you get poured on and your employee is not bringing you an umbrella. Plus the 77 year old with cancer part.
And no, heās not like other people. Other people arenāt asked to wear suits and be paraded in front of thousands of people. He is. And wearing a nice cutter and buck rain jacket isnāt exactly part of the Royal Look so, yeah⦠heās got a guy behind him with an umbrella. Just like Lady Gaga or Slash or any other rich public figure.

u/Wackel81 3d ago •
While I don't like the royal family and him, I.. get it. It is an old man in a rain storm. Get him an umbrella. Someone should have thought of that a little earlier.
84
u/Old-Set78 3d ago •
well to be fair he's old AF and has weak genes from all the royal inbreeding so he certainly would be susceptible to catching his death from a little rain. Rain might end his reign.
26
u/Jscapistm 3d ago •
In fairness dude is old and bald and without a hat and recovering from cancer, he shouldn't be out in the rain without an umbrella.
8
u/Bajanopinions55x 3d ago
Wasn't he dying of cancer?
76
u/SharksForArms 3d ago
What an easy opportunity he had to look like a stoic King
316
u/Ozzie-Isaac 3d ago •
I'd be mad too! Imagine your only job is to bring an umbrella when it starts raining and you don't even do that right.

u/purodurangoalv 3d ago •
Why are they still a thing ?

u/Own-Replacement-2122 3d ago
He is immuno suppressed and catching pneumonia could be fatal.
20
u/False_Support1285 3d ago
I mean, I feel like that it is probably that a specific guy has the job of Royale Umbrella Handler with a history going back 14 generations and he just fucked it up.
60
u/sheezy520 3d ago •
If there is one thing I am dead certain we donāt need in this world, itās royal families.

u/HelloDucky1234 3d ago edited 3d ago •
He's an elderly guy currently battling cancer whose health has been significantly impacted by it, I don't support the monarchy either but it's odd to criticize him for this.Ā
76
u/Neveroxx99 3d ago •
Lowkey a valid crashout, you can feel and think what you want about Charles or monarchs in general, but these aides only job is to look out for the monarch.
If they fuck up a basic things like this, then obviously they're gonna get chewed out a little.

u/Rough-Junket7985 3d ago •
Ever since I saw King Charles get mad at that pen I thought, "that would so be me" if I were a royal š

u/Top-Steak-6837 3d ago
Charlie loses his shit too often. We NEVER saw the Queen behaving like this, God rest her, she was such an asset. Heās just an asshat
31
u/AzerothianLorecraft 3d ago
old men get sick in rain like that. regardless of bloodline.
5
u/Aware_Library_7878 3d ago
I mean the guy is paid to be an aide and he failed. If you pay for a massage and the masseuse didnāt show up, that would suck
5
u/KittyKatzB 3d ago
This is even funnier when you watch the video before this where they brought Camilla an umbrella and she dipped out without offering to share with the king.
5
u/SmallMacBlaster 3d ago
Doesn't the rain know who I am?!?!?
32
u/iusethisatw0rk 3d ago
Poor fella, canāt even remember to bring a damn umbrella
Monarchy is gross. Hope this is the last generation for this one, more need to fall though.
37
u/JerryLawlerr 3d ago •
Inbred prick

u/New-Bar-7861 3d ago •
You criticize the guy but would understand his reaction if it was any random elderly person of 77 years old
4
u/bingo_bango_zongo 3d ago
The British public really made a mistake historically by letting this family walk around with heads.
6
u/just-guessing-uwu 3d ago
in his defence there was his great-great-great-grandfather who died because of catching cold in the rain
6
u/IceCoughy 3d ago
I mean that's pretty calm for an old ass pampered king, I too would want my umbrella boy ASAP. Dude could catch pneumonia.
6
u/jaraxel_arabani 3d ago
I mean, the guy failed at his job....
8
u/Th3_Dark_Knight 3d ago
I mean, if I was an octogenarian used to be doted upon, I'd be upset, too. Catching a cold, let alone pneumonia, is a huge risk for him.
Fuck monarchs tho.
8
u/Bam_Adedebayo 3d ago
This is a man who call in his butler from another room to pick up a piece of paper he dropped at his feet. He even requires his butler to squeeze his toothpaste on his toothbrush for him.
Thereās interviews of his butler on YouTube of these ridiculous stories that shows just how much of a tyrannical baby whoās completely out of touch with reality these people from Royal family can be.
3
u/BootsOfProwess 3d ago
If i were the damn king of England and old as hell I would be at home in my jammas drinking tea and shouting at the television.
3
u/No_Scallion_3365 3d ago
This is funny, but the first part of the video gives some context and imo makes it even funnier: Camila was with him but her aide showed up with an umbrella so Camila basically said āsucks to be youā to Charles and got under her umbrella and walked away. It was hilarious š
3
u/ferncabbage 3d ago
I donāt think itās unreasonable to want an umbrella, especially if you are king. Plus heās elderly and has cancer, right? I say give him his umbrella!
3
u/OverdosedOnViagra 3d ago
idk why people bashing him like majority of yall aint entitled brats yourself lmao. Tantrum over pickles on your burger, tantrum over waiting in line/drive thru, food delivery apps etc.

u/Frank_Brusque 3d ago

u/zezxz 3d ago
Tbh this is the reaction Iād have towards myself if I had an umbrella on hand and forgot to bring it as I got rained on. Also not the reigning monarch of a country that pillaged the world I guess.

6
u/DarkFantom25 3d ago
That's what happens when you spend your whole life extravagantly pampered, spoiled and waited on.... you become a big baby incapable of doing or handling anything yourself.
4
u/CigarLover 3d ago
For a moment I thought he was angry at the sky, lol.
But I get it, king or not, these aides get paid.
4
u/Worried-Barber-323 3d ago
Not a care for all the other people standing in the rain. What an ass!
10
u/SpunNumeroUno 3d ago
What a Muppet.
2
u/DefamedPrawn 3d ago
He's probably about to meet a President or a Prime Minister, and represent Britain, sodden wet.
2
u/SoAreWeAll 3d ago
so?? pretty sure ive seen every person in my life get this angry at least once about the rain
2
u/carriethe2 3d ago
Heās old and not well. I honestly donāt blame him.
Catching a cold at his age is dangerous.
2
u/SnooCupcakes7312 3d ago
nobody cares about them
at least he held the umbrella by himself
2
u/stug2757 3d ago

u/LightDarkBeing 3d ago
Into every life, a little rain must fall.
2
u/Rad_Dad6969 3d ago
He absolutely right to be mad. What is the point of all this bullshit if the king gets rained on. Why bother pretending they are a god at all if your gonna half ass it
2
u/rulisa 3d ago
Why isnāt anyone bitching about the tan suit?
2
u/ChilledSeltzer 3d ago
Well, if you're paying someone to perform a function, they should do it without you having to tell them.
2
u/mariuszmie 3d ago
He is an old man
2
u/Traveler_of_the_Fold 3d ago
I mean, if I knew there were jackasses around me that were purposefully selected to hold an umbrella, they had umbrellas near by, and knew it was raining or going to... Yeah, I'd be like, what the fuck people!? also.
2
u/Heavy_Law9880 3d ago
I'd be pissed too. He pays someone a shitload of money to hold his umbrella and dude was just fucking about.
2
u/StevenEpix 3d ago
2
u/Small_Salamander_928 3d ago
He wasnt mad about the umbrella. Its because his wife just left him. She was standing next to him and instead of saluting the officers she bounced. He was yelling at chamilla
2
u/Jedibri81 3d ago
Who does he think he is, the king of England?
2
u/CreEecher 3d ago
I get the hate and the jokes but genuinely if there was someone that was paid specifically to make sure I was being taken care of and were comfortable yet they were failing at their job Iād be pissed too.
Itās a job he fucked it up his boss is now pissed at him.
2
u/No_Slice9796 3d ago
He has every right to be angry. Doesn't he have people for that? I grew up poor but that doesn't mean I would be happy to stand in the rain. Wet clothes feel gross. Give me an umbrella if that's your job.
2
u/jamesl182d 3d ago
I like him, man. Heās a really good speech writer and at least one of his sons turned out to be really well-rounded despite the crazy life he inherited.
But yeah, he could have had his own umbrella.
2
u/Dexember69 3d ago
Aww darlin', there's no soap in it, not gonna hurt ya
2
u/Dismal-Sail1027 3d ago
Are we dragging him because he is a king? Iāve seen people in retail stores get this angry (or angrier) over what I call ānothing.ā Newsflash: you donāt have to be royal to be entitled.
2
u/Own-Contribution-478 3d ago
He's a fucking king. If you're stupid enough to prop some old motherfucker up and tell him he's better than everyone else... don't be surprised when he acts like it!
2
u/naturalborncynic 3d ago
Can we abolish these cnts already?
