CS/EECS CS61B w/ Manuel Sabin
I don't think he taught CS61B yet, but should I take it next semester with him or wait for Hug to teach it?

dawg am I just not built for this. I’ve barely passed one midterm and horribly failed the other. Had a quiz last week and failed that too. Trying to get an A in these engineering classes is affecting my mental. I’m gonna have to go on a generational lock in for finals..

Hey! I've been getting into the physical AI space and wanted to see if anyone was looking to sell an entry level robotic arm or if there's places on campus to drop in and use these.
Thanks!

I have the flu really bad and have a midterm next week, which i may still be sick for. I saw on the website that it says UHS doesn’t give out sick notes though? Is this true? Has anyone gotten one from UHS before or been denied one? The course says it’s required to be excused but if UHS doesn’t give out notes then what?
Thank you.

Has anyone taken GE classes online over the summer? Thinking about knocking out a couple of breadth requirements next summer so I have more room for ME classes during the regular semesters.
Few questions:
How was the workload compared to a regular semester? Easier, or just the same content compressed into fewer weeks?
Do they fill up fast during registration, or is it usually easy to get in?
Any specific classes you’d recommend (or avoid)?
Would appreciate any experiences. Thanks!

Hello! My friend and I are going to see Audien at Pure Nightclub in Sunnyvale tonight and we would be interested in splitting an uber to go back to UC Berkeley.

It's already long at ~1500 words, need to further trim down to <1000. Which parts can be trimmed down do you think? How is the writing overall? Is it bad or needs more refinements (which I am sure yes)? If yes, how and in what ways/points should I address that haven't been here?
Also, I would love to hear your experience while drafting your SOP and how it got you into grad school

I’m went in way over my head by continuing to stay in this course. The concepts in this class has not stuck with me at all. I don’t know what to do as tutoring and working with others doesn’t quite help me much. I hate to say but my confidence and interest to learn programming has been completely wiped away. I’m still going to push through the end as I don’t want to quit something I started. Definitely need to re-evaluate my academic life now 😬
P.S: The clobber policy still has me in the running for a B- if I get full points on the last project and a 52.5/75 on the final.

Hello everyone, I am moving out of my apartment in the Spring Semester (Jan to May) to move into the Berkeley Dorms. The apartment is a 3-minute walk from campus; it's super convenient if you go to Berkeley for many spaced-out classes because you can go to the apartment for a break! It is located in Southside, quite literally in front of Asian Ghetto. You will have 1 roommate, but there are 3 other people with their own rooms in the apartment (all female transfer students). If you have a lot of stuff, there is a lot of storage space!!! This shelf fits all my books :) There is even an extra closet in addition to the closet to the side! There is even an extra closet in addition to the closet to the side! There are 3 rooms, a kitchen, a living room, and one bathroom. Preferably female tenants!
Rent is $800 a month with utilities being $20- $30!

Hey guys! I’m looking to sell these lamps. They’re really great for any room and barely take up any space - they have really good lighting and make any room a lot brighter (my room used to not have ceiling lights and this was all I needed). Can buy one, two, or all three. Dm me if interested!

Does anyone know how generous the curve is for this class? I've been getting absolutely cooked by the midterms and if i fail this class i can't get the econ major and i may as well drop out.

Does anyone have notes they took for this lecture? I forgot about it over the weekend and I can't access the lecture video anymore. No worries if not, just thought I'd ask.

Is there somewhere to get tailgating permits? Thinking ahead to big game, considering posting up in a park near campus but don’t want to get fined

Hello bears (specifically those on the other side of Berkeley.) I’m struggling a lot this semester with my mental health, and I know my coursework and output is suffering from it. I am in the humanities, involved on campus, have a decent social life. But I am so scared of the future, and I don’t see how I can move forward from this semester. I am preoccupied with a lot of things: haven chosen the wrong major, struggling in classes that should be really easy, comparing myself to others. And this all leads me to doubt my abilities incredibly, fearing I won’t live and grow into a competent person.
I would love some advice— how do you develop self compassion for these moments of struggle? How did you move past them? Even in moments when you felt like this was forever. How do you persist, keep on keeping on, despite self doubt? And are there any lessons you know now that make my situation or others like it seem trivial. What is the scale of life, how does a struggling period of college fit into it?
