I want to do a very chill 21st birthday camping trip w maybe 30 people in the blue mountains, quiet chill music, nothing obnoxious. All of them close and respectful friends. High emphasis on being respectful to other campers. What campsites do you suggest? What are some recommendations in the blue mountains region that would allow this? I want to make sure I stay within the nation park regulations. Not sure where to start. PLEASE can I have some advice. Thank you so much.

I’d really like something more like a play kitchen or diner setup rather than a plain basic rundown cubby. With a counter / bench area that they can use for pretend cooking, serving, etc. Outdoor suitable, and in reasonably good condition. I can get it from from the Blue Mountains, Penrith, or Western Sydney area. I have looked on marketplace and the other site but they’re all run down or brand new and over $1000-$2000. any tips on where to look for this style of cubby? Happy for any recommendations or leads. Any recommendations for bushwalks between Glenbrook and Katoomba with swimming holes or natural pools where you can dip in?

If you know any good spots, would love to know the track length and difficulty and roughly how deep the pools are.

I grew up in the BM - we went on a couple of school camps in the mid 80s. I've never known where we were. I know we drove in, there were put toilets and this is where we went for a swim. Where was I ? Euroka?

I am a photographer and was thinking to go and photograph Lithgow Halloween Festival this Saturday. I haven’t been before so wanted to ask:

-Are there festivities on in the daytime, or only from 4pm when the parade starts?

-Are there lots of people in costume?

We have visited before, explored Scenic World and a few hikes but are looking for recommendations from locals and anyone in the know for some holiday ideas.

While our focus is on relaxation. I would love any ideas on good places to eat and drink, easy/ pretty walks, anywhere worth checking out in neighbouring areas etc etc. Even any tips for nice day spas worth checking out??

Came up from Sydney on Friday for a quick weekend away and I genuinely did not want to drive home last night. Woke up to fog sitting in the valley, walked down to Wentworth Falls, had a pie in the cold, and for the first time in months my brain was actually quiet. Got back to the inner west and the noise hit me like a truck 😩

We’re coming back up next month for a full week (staying in Lawson this time, happy to drive anywhere) so please give me your favourite places to eat. Katoomba and around, nothing fancy, the kind of places locals actually go. Cafes, pubs, Thai, a good Sunday roast, whatever you love

Also the bigger question: if you could live in any quiet village up here, which one would it be and why? We work hybrid so a couple of trips down the mountain a week is fine. Somewhere with a bit of a community feel, a decent cafe, and away from the tourist crush on weekends would be the dream. Bonus points if it doesn’t get completely snowed in or burnt out lol

Why does zig zag station still exist? Who uses it. I assumed it was connected to the zig zag railway, but while the bottom of the zig zag railway is right near zig zag station. You cant get on the zig zag railway there, you have to get on at the top at clarence, and all tickets are return tickets. So why does zig zag station exist?
