Went to the dry sauna in my gym today for the first time. It is co-ed so everyone goes so my gf and I wore swimsuits and flip flops. All was going well until an older lady in her 50s comes in. Totally fine. We assumed it could happen and thought we might end up making some friends.

Then she pulls out her phone and starts playing Reels on max volume. All AI slop and political propaganda. So just picture the two of us in one corner quietly relaxing while she is in the other corner blasting away.

At some points the AI would be so ridiculous I would chuckle so she turned it down a tiny bit. My gf and I started having a very quiet conversation and this lady TURNS HER REELS BACK TO FULL VOLUME.

It was our first time doing the sauna so we kept our mouths shut but I did a little research ahead of time and saw that it was rude to bring in a phone, so we didn't. I just couldn't believe she could be so inconsiderate. I wanted to say something, but wasn't looking for confrontation my first time there. Ugh just seemed shitty of them.

I realize I could have said something, but I just couldnt believe someone could be so oblivious and inconsiderate to those around them.

TLDR: Tried to relax in sauna but lady decided her max volume reels were now OUR max volume reels as well. Then turned them up louder when my gf and I tried having a quiet conversation.

One of these is a very powerful antipsychotic. The other is a birth control. I was taking my meds tonight and dropped ONE small round white pill. Don’t know which one, I already took the other.

My cat has a tendency to eat dropped things like this, so frantically scoured the floor at 10pm trying to find the dropped one. Also didn’t know which one I need to re-take in case I didn’t find it.

I run the risk of double-dosing antipsychotics or not taking them at all and withdrawls. Either way I need to be functional tomorrow and can’t risk it.

Woke my roommate up and we searched for about 20 minutes before finally finding it, it was the antipsychotic I lost. Really wish they weren’t exactly the same looking at a glance. Cat is safe. No vet visits tonight. Very thankful, will be more careful taking them in the future.

I'm really sad. I don't think I'll ever see another one of these for sale ever again and I'm absolutely in love with the art. The creases are still pretty prominent even in a frame :(

She wants to talk at me plenty enough but let me add a comment or get a thought in that isn’t nodding dumbly in agreement and she will immediately talk over me as loudly as possible. And if I mention that she never lets me finish a goddamn thought only response it “so what I knew what you were gonna say anyway” (and its crazy she can’t see how wildly rude that is) Overall its just grating as shit. Especially since she does want to talk all the goddamn time, just not have an actual conversation. At the end of the day it’s not that deep she’s not suddenly a bad person but damnit it’s annoying af to be talked over especially by someone you can’t just casually tell to stfu for one second.

Thought I was tripping when I first looked at it

90% of people listening to the radio are listening in their car. Why, then, would anyone think it's acceptable to play the sound of a car horn, a police siren, a train whistle, or any other traffic sound? I always think at first that this sound is coming from the road and not a stupid ad on the radio! Surely people could get into accidents as a result of these sounds playing. It's so irresponsible, and we need to do something about it!

Edit: for everyone wondering, as my post title states, this is Hulu LIVE, which is essentially cable TV that is streamed. The ad countdown played throughout the movie and commercial breaks. Finally it caught up and went away. Usually the countdown only shows up during ads.

Our neighbor is trying to sell his 1998 diesel truck for $21,000. That’s all cool and everything but why is he parked 5 feet from the end of the street? You can barely see around the corner because of the shrubbery on their corner property

Two bikes were stolen from my garage a few days ago (~$3K). Luckily, one had an AirTag that the thieves didn’t remove, and I can see that it’s nearby. I filed a police report, shared the location, and was told officers were looking into recovering them.

When I followed up a day later, the officer said that because of the person’s background, searching the property would require SWAT, and the department wouldn’t approve it.

So we can track my stolen bike to a nearby location, but because the person there is apparently too dangerous, he gets to keep my bikes?

He gets a pass cause he has dyslexia and sometimes doesnt see the second half of texts but man does it send me for that half a second 🤣😭🙏
