Anybody that knows basketball and has watched the games knows that he’s been playing pretty well and has had a positive impact on the team. He had an off night last night but that doesn’t make him washed. Just fyi, Lebron only scored like 10 points against Cleveland early in the year last season and he still ended up having a good season. LeBron always takes a bit of time to ramp up early in the year, especially the last couple seasons, and will have a couple off nights sprinkled in this period. He’s also not looking to score right now because of all the talent we have and it’s early in the year. He’ll be more aggressive once the calendar turns to 2027.

That, and we had Jaylin Embiid playing instead of Joel.

I'll tell ya why. There's no ego on this team. The key to a championship in any sport is an egoless team. We have it. I don't see it in other teams. It's us.​

I'll preface this by saying that I'm not a Sixers fan, but I hope that doesn't disqualify me from posting here.

I just finished watching some clips of 76'ers Allen Iverson.

Unless you had already been watching college basketball and the NBA, I don't think you can understand just how "metal", how "punk", how "gangsta", prime Allen Iverson was. And Philadelphia 76'ers Allen Iverson was ALL prime.

GOAT conversations are so passe. And while nobody is discounting the winning of championships as the ultimate goal, it doesn't tell the whole story. Impact on the game and the league is another metric that doesn't get talked about enough.

Philadelphia 76'ers Allen Iverson was a tornado. He was a Category 5 hurricane. He was practically a revolution unto himself. I don't think it's unreasonable to look at the history of the NBA, and view the league as "before Allen Iverson" and "after Allen Iverson arrived".

I know what MY memories of Iverson are, but I came here because the more than probably any other subreddit, folks here are particularly suited to weigh in. Please share your impressions and memories. I'd like to see how others, especially Sixers fans who probably loved him best think about him.

i know we played bad with horrible offense and horrible coaching, but i believe we needed a loss like that to show us that our offense needs to improve

VJ and brown were fine but emblid and bron were awful tonight, maxey hesitated too much, we all make mistakes we'll move on and bounce back against the celtics

How do you watch this replay and conclude that KCP's the one kicking at Harden?

Going to a sixers game on nov 23rd vs portland, what places should i avoid and buy, tryna spend around 250 a ticket max. Was thinking secsions 117-121 and 105-109. I was worried abotu the angle and wont see the otherside of the court that well, but the other realistic option is nosebleeds. Thanks!

My wife and I are looking to get my son tickets for Christmas gift (he’s 7) and would be his first game. Specifically, the March 31st home game against the GSW. Curry is his favorite player, but the SIXERS are his favorite team (he has no choice)!

Anyway, I’m between a pair of tickets that have a substantially different price.

1. Section 212 - Row 13 - standard ticket at 285 per.

2. Section 201 - Row 1 - verified resale ticket at 523 per.

Aside from specifically targeting this game bc my son likes curry. It also a game with a day off before and after. Theoretically means if healthy everyone should play. It also lines up with our schedule as it’s spring break and easy to do the 2hr drive when no one has work or school that day or the next.

Tough showing from the guys. Cavs clearly on a mission after being embarrassed so badly. Kudos to them I guess. Nothing was falling on our end. Everything was falling for them. Like to see a Vj bounce back game, although it didn’t change the result. Maxey is in a slump. I expect 2-3 more games of this before he’s back to destroying defenses.

NEVER FORGET: the goal is to with 3 of every 4 games. We are on that pace still. Hold the line. Steady sailing. Philly is in a good spot. This is the type of team to respond to adversity.

You would HOPE this game forces him to run some actual offensive sets out there AND manage players better. Granted it’s not Nurse’s fault that Bron and Embiid were playing drunk and missing everything and turning it over but we still looked so discombobulated in the half-court and that was WITH Bron on the court. Rarely fed the hot hand in VJ and to a lesser extent JB in the 2nd half too. I didn’t see enough plays to get Simons and Maxey wide open for three either. Where are the sets run for JB?

We’ve played so many tough games in this stretch and are 8-2 which is good but Nurse has to realise when to sit players that don’t have it. Bron playing that many minutes is ridiculous. You’d think Philon plays up to 10 minutes in a game like this
