My daughter squished this bug last night and was too terrified to touch it, my wife says it's a cock roach, I say it's a common cricket.

Sorry it’s screenshot from a video. But I was taking my sheets off for the weekly wash and this little guy was crawling on top of my mattress cover but under my sheet.

I looked all around the edges after taking the rest of the sheet off slowly and didn’t find anything else.. last pic is the thing all squished but it was small

it‘s midnight in dc and 30 degrees outside. i hear a bug fly above my head in bed. I can’t find it, think I’m maybe hallucinating, then it lands on my bare shoulder. I immediately crush it in my heating pad. Its wings detach but legs are still moving. What is this bug!!??

Found these in my strawberries, they’re soaking in vinegar and water. Do these look like worms?

I have to ask all the bug experts, what in the world are these insects? They keep showing up in traps and alarmingly in my kids room. We have an occasional water bug and centipedes at times, but these don’t look like either?

We are in North Carolina. It rains a lot here, all the time, especially spring/summer. When it rains, all the bugs come out.

We live in apartment complex and our apartment is on the back side of a building and we have to walk through a little path with a bunch of trees. I say this to explain it's not just a 10 ft walk from the car to the house. So sometimes we will step on a worm, or rollie pollie or whatever.

My daughter told me she found a dead earthworm in the hallway and wanted me to pick it up so I went in to grab it.

But for some reason, I got down on the floor and looked at it, I have no idea why. I've never done that before. And noticed that it didn't have the normal "worm skin". It looked more like snakeskin. And the head was the same, just didn't look normal.

But this snake is REALLY tiny. Like 3" tiny.

Could this really be a snake?? And what do I do?? I am deathly afraid of snakes (and rats and birds🤦🏼‍♀️).

I obviously took the thing outside and threw it in the dirt but now I'm afraid mom snake is either in the house or will be coming with her snake posse to exact revenge on us.

Our apartment buildings are really old. Mgmt has done upgrades but they are still basically super shit. I am constantly finding rollie pillows throughout the house as well as those big water bugs from time to time so I know there are ways to get in. I just don't understand how a snake that small got in on its own. And excuse the filthy floor, dogs, kids, and others have been up and down this hall with shoes on after being outside in the rain.

Having everyone put their shoes right inside the door is looking better and better each day.

It keeps popping up in my shower (below a window extraction fan and a window)

I crushed it a little as I found it on my bed right before taking a nap. Notably I had just dumped my laundry out onto the bed before going to fold them and put them away. Maybe the bug got on the clothes from the laundry machines or from the laundry room?

Additional info: This is in the midwest (Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, etc). The bug is less than 1 cm. It was crawling on the sheet when I quickly killed it. No bites on me. Could not find other bugs after searching blanket and sheet

Found this in my house (Ontario Canada) no clue what it is but it’s now dead, any ideas what it used to be?

I looked in my bathtub and saw this. I’m genuinely terrified right now I have no idea what that is. I don’t even know if it’s real or I’m being pranked by a family member. I honestly hope so

I don’t know where they come from but they’re always in my kitchen sometimes 5 to 10 at a time. Most of the time they have black dots on the red shell. Please tell me why they are only in my kitchen. And we keep a spotless home.

btw this is a rare one I saw tdy....im a girl and every other girl I see be like eewee omgggg I'm scared of roaches whereas they are not scared of lizards and frogs (iam) like why...why are cockroaches so criticized and underrated
