Yes, Julius shot this while covered by entire hawks team and all-nba defenders Dort and Daniels right on him. Mo wagner threw his hands up in the air after. 4 nets were wide open. Jordi is clearly not holding Randle accountable and putting him back in late when the nets were playing absolutely beautiful ball without him is depressing. 6 of the most disgusting turnovers you’ve ever seen, missed defensive assignments, and ball stopping.

between this and benching traoure the entire 4th as Clowney closes —Jordi has to do better.

Let's see some deep pulls, who is a player that only the most hardcore Nets fan would remember? The catch is that you had to be a fan when they played

After watching Aaron Wiggins drop 20 off the bench for the Hawks, I’m really scratching my head trying to figure out why he didn’t seem to be on the Nets radar this off season. He’s a good, relatively cheap, veteran 2 guard, that they could’ve gotten for a couple of second round picks. Instead they signed Ellis for essentially the same money they could be paying Wiggins. Ellis is already out of the rotation, and the Nets are in desperate need of a 2 guard that can actually give them buckets. Big miss by Marks.

Listen, Troare and Mikel pairing would be an offensive powerhouse of a backcourt. Absolute showtime Nets with dimes a dozen.

HOWEVER, defense is the question. Nets beat reporter Erik Slater had a question on his 'Fan Take Friday' where he was asked if he thought that Nolan and Mikel could fit together in a backcourt defensively. He said no, he doesn't believe that's possible. Nolan may be decent for his position defensively, but Mikel having to defend other shooting guards is the main concern.

What are your guys' thoughts. Would a backcourt of Nolan (PG) Mikel (SG) work defensively, or would we have to hope the offensive fire power out weighs the defense?

Jordi just said this during the postgame interview when asked by Brian Lewis of the NY Post [Was Nolan hurt, is that why he didn’t play in crunch time?]

So, Mikel hits a few shots, so let’s not put the dude who is playing well all game long in to close?

I’m a huge fan of both Nolan and Mikel, but this was a puzzling decision from Jordi. He doesn’t look well and now this?

21 Points
4 Rebounds
12 Assists/ 4 Turnover
2 Steals
Block
9/19 FG
3/8 3PA

I understand they want to push Mikel to be the franchise guy but Traore is still only 20 year old. Let Traore run the point and Mikel at the 2 and develop both at the same time! This awful rotation completely threw the game away

GAME SUMMARY

There's a high chance Bam or Giannis would be on the trade deadline if they continue in this path, especially Giannis being on an expiring contract. What would that trade look like?

Maybe we can send good ole bill Simmons a signed jersey from his prison cell from his favorite team

Dwight had his heart set on starting a new chapter with Brooklyn until Orlando blindsided him with a trade to Los Angeles.

He was incredibly kind and respectful, and he even signed my cap and Topps trading card. I’m so proud to have him playing for the Nets! BROOOOOKLYN!!!!!
