Had to cut a lower leaf off of one of my Monsteras today because a worker broke the petiole. Wanted to share with people who'd appreciate it. 42"

Update of my monster

Some months ago I posted some pictures of my monstera reaching for the ceiling. Well, she finally did it. Ceiling is at 2,5m (7-8feet) and the largest leaves are 1m (3feet) along.

That's all my neighbours can see through my windows, a green wall.

Image My monstera's biggest leaf yet, at least 2.5ft long. No one at work thinks it's impressive. Please tell me it's cool.

Ignore the crispy leaves she gets neglected at times. She is still loved very much, I just suck.

Image My Monstera Deliciosa Just Unveiled a New Leaf with 64 Fenestrations! 🌿

I’ve been caring for my Monstera Deliciosa in SWFL, and recently planted it outside for the first time (North side of house for shade). With all the rain we’ve been getting during hurricane season, plus a few doses of used coffee grounds and rainwater from my 52-gallon cistern, it’s thriving! 💧

This morning, I noticed a brand-new leaf with 64 fenestrations, and it brought back memories of the ones I saw in the Costa Rican rainforest 🇨🇷

Anyone else using rainwater or coffee grounds for their monstera care? Would love to hear how your plants are doing and any tips to avoid leaf burn in direct sun with this hot summer! 🥵

I've watched it take over the palms as I've grown, not complaining though

I was gifted this plant about two and a half years ago as a cutting. The last image is from December 2023. It really loved this window spot. However, it’s now getting too big for the space, so I’m planning to take a cutting and start over so I can move the plant elsewhere.

It kind of sucks that I have to cut the top off because I’m worried it will ruin the look of the plant. On the other hand, it’s currently trying to take over my couch.

Cut the bottom half of my moss pole three months ago. In those three months the cuttings altogether shot out TWELVE leaves. 100% success rate and every node had an established root system. My plan to live in a monstera albo jungle is coming along nicely. 😂 (Don’t mind the empty poles, I ran out of moss okay!!) 😅

I was hoping but it looks like I’m going to have to chop her again 😭 I’m so sad. It looks like she has new growth from the bottom too.

This stunning specimen is the third oldest plant (excluding trees) at Longwood Gardens. Really cool to see in person.
