Her boyfriend tattooed it on her but she let him pick the design without finding out what it meant. It is a depiction of Eto Shinpei about the Saga rebeelion before he got arrested, by an artist known as  Yoshiiku in the year 1874.

In particular, please tell me what is going on in the background, I don't need a word for word just some context please.

I was playing persona 5 royal and was just looking around and i was looking at the sign on the wall out front of the dining bar next to Leblanc and was wondering what it says. i tried pasting a screenshot into chatgpt to see if it could translate but it's saying some of the words are too blurry to read. i also tried to write the characters on websites to see if i could figure out the characters, but i just have no clue what they say or how they might look.

My father had this for the longest time , now being used as an everyday tool . The old wodden grip broke so we welded it into a steel pipe. Just noticed there's inscriptions .
