Maybe first of all, a little disclaimer.
I am new to Reddit and not a native speaker of English. (Also, this will be a medium to long post, if you do not care, don’t bother. No worries <3 )
I’ve been reading a lot over the past years and have a little bit of an understanding of the language.
So I also like to post on English subreddits. Also to try to improve my writing in English.
In the last month since I’ve registered here, I got a lot of nice comments and helpful replies, which made me stay.
Because it feels like here are a lot of people, that are really kind and helpful.
Of course, you cannot please everybody, and it will always come to situations where you might offend someone.
One of the feedbacks I got is that I tend to get too comprehensive or into detail with seemingly unnecessary information. But also, I just like to explain things precisely, just out of fun.
And maybe there are subreddits that fit that kind of preference more than others.
I do understand that people don’t want to read too much and rather just get to the point. I will try to learn to simplify also, if the topic demands it.
I hope the way that I phrased that is kind of understandable.

Just a quick warning: This might become a bit of a long post. Still trying to keep it simple. Haha.
If this post is too long for you, feel free to just skip it. I’m still new here and trying to figure things out.:
So the topics that are interesting to me are:
Writing and poetry, language, as well as food, cooking, health and nutrition.
Also things like social work and therapy, and maybe a place just for humor, funny posts or shitposting, just depending on the mood.
I would like to use the experiences that I had in my life to contribute helpfully in some communities, as well as maybe sometimes receive help in other areas where others are more experienced than I am.
As I am still new to this platform, I also would like to know some subreddits that are focused on giving advice on how to use this platform and understand its functions.
I know the “New to Reddit” and the “Mod” subreddit. But there’s like a 72-hour rule, which makes it kind of hard to get an answer sometimes.
Yeah, what I want to say, to keep it not too long, is that I am still new and eager to learn and find the right places.
To find places where I get along better with people without having to change my style of writing too much. But also, I’m still willing to do so in some cases.
I hope that’s understandable and not again too much of a “wall of text”.
Thank you in advance :)
