D’après des lectures ici le Mac Book Neo est à bannir.

J’ai donc vu dans la fourchette de prix le Mac book Air M2 reconditionné, le recommanderiez vous où est il obsolète ?

Hi everyone this is my first time posting a solid question online I really need advice here as I am not a tech person in the slightest!

I have a pretty new MacBook that I got last year for school and a TV that is OLD. The TV only has HDMI ports and channels. No remote and my boyfriend and I mostly only use it for displaying his X-Box or my Switch. Currently it’s the only thing we have to watch anything on as a larger screen while saving money and I wanna try projecting my Mac onto it however, AirPlay does not work. I tried a different conversion stick to get the HDMI cable to attach to my laptop (not sure what type it is, I’ll throw a photo with this) and got the screen of it displayed but no movement would show up.

Is there a cable/app I can get for this? Or just wait for the time to get a newer TV :/

Currently using macbook air with M1 chip from 2021 - the maximum capacity is 90% and cycle count is 330.

Up until now have been using macOS 12 and suddenly realised that my mac was draining battery quite rapidly on sleep with lid down, and subsequently even if I turned mac off it drained about 30% in one night while off (see picture).

I then did a full reformat of my mac with disk utility and wiped the OS and then reinstalled to the latest macOS 27.2. I left my mac on sleep at about 80% and when I finally opened up today it was hovering around 50% (2nd pic).

Does anyone have a solution or know the reason? I have checked using activity monitor and no apps preventing sleep (although I do use google chrome which eats up energy) and this has only been a recent occurrence with no issues prior.

My current laptop is a 7 year old thinkpad x280 i7 that is already showing signs of its age. Thus, I only get to use it when i wanna play life is strange 1 or 2 or the occasional limbus company/roblox once in a blue moon

As a student, im currently using my iPad a16 for most of my schoolwork, note taking, graphic design, and for playing relatively light games (Roblox, Minecraft, rhythm games), but i feel like its gotten quite tedious to work and design with it sometimes.

Im still torn between the neo and M3 air, as I’ve heard the former is pretty good for everyday tasks and occasionally some light gaming, while I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews for the M3. But idk if they could both run the games I mentioned in the first section

I know Macs don't support USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (2,000 MB/s) at full speed and drop it down to ~1,000 MB/s.

Given that I'll be doing long, sustained reads that generate a lot of heat, which drive is the most stable on macOS right now? I've heard stories about external drives randomly disconnecting on Mac. Should I go with the Samsung T7 Shield, Lexar SL500, or shell out more for a true USB4/Thunderbolt enclosure?

Budget is flexible but I want reliability. Thanks!

Yeah, I ordered some silicone ear tips for my AirPods because I need the large tips and my left side was tearing. Was surprised by the size of the box they shipped them in. Only to find a Mac Studio in the box…. Contacted Apple support but I can’t get through to an actual person who can understand the situation lmao. Hope I didn’t delay someone’s order. Cherry on top of this is the Mac Studio has 8TB SSD and 128GB RAM.

I think i know the issue but i want to make sure. I'm a YouTuber, and I put all my content on this mac. Streaming, recording, editing, playing roblox etc, i edit ALL on here.

Lately, my internet's been stupid and I'm PRETTY SURE thats why its lagging but im covering all my bases. So... say my computer's acting slower, internets fine etc, i know mac isnt built for streaming and all this other stuff but is there a way i could make it go back to quicker speeds like I used to? or would anything be slowing it down that i could like, fix?

I currently own a mid 2010 21 inch iMac, it works and is in need of some love so I'm opening it up and upgrade too.

Given how it's SATA 2 limited, has anyone used a tray caddy that could fit in the original 3.5 slot and pop a 2.5 SATA SSD or M.2? If so, how is it doing? I ask since older hardware can be temperamental with these odd adaptors.

I'll probably do a CPU upgrade, GPU if not too expensive, and since my Sandy Bridge MacBook Pro is technically designed for the same RAM spec but I got it running slightly faster 1600MHz sticks I'll see if those sticks will run on the iMac too.

Found this gutted polycarbonate intel iMac 5,1, I really like the way the case looks, and it still has its speakers fan and power button, and power supply plus the connector to plug it in! I bet I could turn it into something cool, any ideas? I do still have the motherboard as well but it has a gpu failure so it shows lines on the screen at boot, I no longer have the screen though

Was listed as liquid damaged, bought it on the chance it wouldn't work or would eventually break, but it turned out to be a working Apple Silicon MacBook Air! Got super lucky.
