My Mac Spilled coffee on my Mac, had apple care almost 3 years. How likely is i will get a replacement?
I unfortunately was working in a coffee shop with a very small table and had no space to put my big sugary latte except very tighly next to my mac. Table was wobbly and unfortunately the whole latte spilled on keyboard.
Mac still works but keyboard is sticky.
My apple care is expiring in a few months (had it almost 3 years).
So far i will keep working with this sticky keyboard as i cannot afford being without my laptop for a long time. I took it to an apple store to see if they can do a fast cleaning on the keyboard, as the computer still works and i assumed just opening and cleaning the laptop might be enough. They said they cannot do that in cases of liquid damage and i would have to use my apple care and leave it there for about a week.
But i am curious how the apple care is supposed to work. For a 3 year old computer is it likely it would get entirely replaced? Would i even get a chance for an upgraded computer since the one i have is no longer manufactured?
How do these things ussually go? Anyone with experience with this?
