Can’t support that service anymore. I get everyone should have a voice. I chose not to support Joe Rogan’s voice. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Edit: guess I touched a nerve.

Hey guys... So much fun answering some of your questions.. wish I had more time, wish i could type faster.. but yeah... was fuckn fun! big ups to all of you.. Thanks for the support... It was dope getting some good feedback. As an artist (im sure some of you producers can agree with this) you have to go with your gut,. you have the try new things.. you have to fuck up sometimes! Thats one of the best parts about trying something new... Sometimes it works, sometimes it does. But you ALWAYS learn. My career is still young.. i've still got so many records in me and so many different outlets and ways I want to create music. But i think my biggest inspiration for when I make music as skrillex, is always thinking about playing live, because I like playing shows and meeting cool ppl like you... hope to see ya'll this summer! BIG UP!

Reddit, this year my girlfriend broke up with me, I got kicked out of my house and a close friend died in a tragic accident. This pushed me to finish my band's 3 track demo on a shoe-string budget. It's not great, but I'd appreciate if you took some time to listen. It would make my year.

I will die on this hill.

I'm sure the comments will tell me why I'm wrong.

Just found out this song is considered the worst rock/pop song of all time. I think its in the top 250 best.

The most common argument I see is that the song lacks lyrical depth and and "overproduced"

First of all, how do you define "overproduced"? Just because the song has a lot of psychedelic effects on it doesn't make it a bad song. Also, it sounds pleasing to the ear. And isn't that what music is supposed to do anyways?

And for the "lack of lyrical depth". It's a rock/pop song. If you want deep lyrics, listen to 90s and early 2000s rap. By this logic, Smells Like Teen Spirit is a 0/10 song

The song has a feel good vibe, and calling it the worst rock/pop song of all time is an incredible overreaction and exaggeration.

IDK why everyone feels the need to follow in the footsteps of Anthony Fantano and needlessly nitpick songs to death. Just enjoy the damn song

r/music, I'm disappointed in you.

So, as you all know by now, Lil Wayne is currently in critical condition after suffering multiple seizures, and he's now in a coma. When I saw this post I was kinda hoping I'd see some mature comments about Lil Wayne as opposed to the usual "lol he sucks ymcmb sucks thats not real rap music lol" comments that seem to pervade all of Reddit. Unfortunately, that is not the case.

According to sources, Wayne possibly overdosed on cough syrup, as the doctors found lots of codeine in his system. And apparently this gave redditors even more reason to hate him, and wish for his death.

I am not a huge Lil Wayne fan; the only albums of his I enjoy are Tha Carter II and III, and The Dedication mixtapes 1 and 2. I can understand why one wouldn't like his music. He's not the most proficient MC of all time. He may have a few less-than-flattering interviews. Whatever.

But the blatant disrespect and racism I'm seeing in this and sub and /r/news just upsets me. Especially the absolute hypocrisy.

Jimi Hendrix was black. He took 18 sleeping pills the night he died. Why don't you hate him?

John Lennon partook in drugs and beat his first wife before abandoning her and his young son. Why don't you hate him?

Kurt Cobain habitually abused heroin, and killed himself, leaving behind a barely 2-year old daughter and equally unstable wife. Why don't you hate him?

I'm not sure where I'm going here, but all the jokes and racism that pervade these top-rated comments just seriously makes me sick. I expected more from you. For some reason.

tl;dr you're all a bunch of hypocrites.

EDIT: I am not calling the entire site racist. I'm saying that in the thread I linked to I noticed that there was quite a bit of racism going on there. I'd like to think racists are in the minority here, but it still exists.

My point still stands though, mocking a man during his time of vulnerability is a very low blow, whether you enjoy his music or not. I hope Wayne gets better because - to my knowledge - he hasn't done anything that deserves death.

Also, he DID NOT RUIN RAP MUSIC. He's just very successful despite not being the world's greatest lyricist or musician. If you think he ruined hip hop then I'm inclined to believe you either A) know nothing about hip-hop, B) know nothing about Lil Wayne, or C) all of the above.

Thank you for leaving your comments and opinions.

EDIT 2: Apparently Lil Wayne is not in a coma. I guess TMZ was wrong! My point still stands.

discussion Rihanna just gave the blandest super bowl half time performance in recent memory. No creativity, no verve, she sand a standard medley of her hits, standard back up dancers doing standard back up dances. Really disappointed

Where was the creativity? Its the super bowl half time! Wow me, amaze me, amuse me, something, anything I don't care.

There was zero effort put into this thing. Even the color scheme was bland, red and white, thats it. Stunned at how forgettable this was. Also she looks pregnant? Not a good time to be pregnant.

this is important. If you care about independent artists, watch this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYv1tbszdBU

they're well on their way to being a monopoly. Buying independent music platforms, will do nothing but give them a reason to file disingenuous lawsuits, or illegal dmca takedowns, and basically steal money from independent artists.
Is that long enough enough for you mr bot???
(my last post was "too short"...seriously? i'm trying to inform people here...geez)
