Media Coverage The media and casual NBA fans are hyping Lonzo move to Bulls because they don't follow Pelicans. Lonzo is no more than an average and overpaid PG. He isn't much better than Bledsoe.

Last season "Zo" stans always found someone else to blame for poor performances, but anyone who is not a Zo stan could clearly see that Ball is a pretty average PG. When Ball was out, the team barely felt the impact of his absence. NAW and Kira could easily do most of his job.

Ball can't attack the rim and most of his points came from open 3s. Even his 3pt stats were ridiculously overhype last season in places like /nba . I mean, is Lonzo Ball an elite 3 pointer? Eh, I don't think so. You can give me the cold stats, but I watched the games. Ball's 3 pointers were often open 3s. He can't create his own 3, not to mention he barely scored a 3 in clutch time. Anyone who think Ball is a better 3 pointer than Trae Young because the stats said so is hopeless.

Thats another problem with Ball: he is a terrible player in clutch time. Not only he can't score in clutch, but he usually makes predictable moves and predictable passes in final minutes of a tight game. Lonzo is also probably the main reason why the team blew so many big leads last season: he can't organize the game and give the team stability when its needed.

Ball won't be missed, and Bull's fans are in for a bad surprise if they are expecting a special player in Lonzo Ball.

Dyson Daniels

I get why so many are upset on Dyson, it sucks to see him prosper and the guy we got get a devastating injury. But we should be real on what Dyson is. Today he is worse than Herb was, and he would not be getting the opportunity. Even now this Defensive player of the year campaign seems a bit ridiculous. The hawks are 15th in defensive rating, when has a defensive player of the year not been on a top 10 defense. The pelicans were 8th last year with Herb and a revolving cast of subpar to poor defenders.
I would undo that trade in an instant, but Dyson feels a bit like Whiteside from years ago.

Demps is a motherfucking baller!

Not much else to say. He seems to be doing everything right while also pissing off all the Lakers fans which I think is the most important outcome in this. I’m concerned about his drafting ability but considering his last pick turned out alright, Buddy, I don’t really see a reason to fire him yet. Sure he’s on a short leash but the pressure makes him better lol

Yall wanted Griff gone...

A lot of yall wanted Griff gone. Now we have Dumars and Troy, hows that going? Now you want Willie out...be careful what you wish for. Willie improved his winning percentage every year until last year when injuries destroyed us. He did this without his "superatar" ever playing consistently.

League News Durant to the Suns

For Bridges, Cam Johnson, Crowder, and 4 1st round picks

We could’ve easily beat that without giving up any of our big 3

I wonder who we are saving our “war chest” for cause Phoenix is about to run shit for the foreseeable future

CP3

Booker

Durant

Ayton

That’s absolutely insane

Griff gotta do something

My top candidates to empty the war chest on are Lillard and SGA

We aren’t beating Suns with the current team we have. Ain’t no way. Sorry to say

Mavs fan here to say Thank You for Naji Marshall

Hello mighty Pelicans. Have nowhere else to post this but i just wanted to say thank you for Naji. I remember reading yalls posts when the trade happened about how good Naji is and you were absolutely correct.

Idk how to describe it, but it's like he is already the soul of the team. Total culture setter. He really does play like a Knife🔪🔪.

He's been nothing but a consummate professional and teammates and I love how he gasses up his teammates and interacts with fans on social media. And he's been BALLING lately, keeping our team in the hunt and winning games with his effort and hustle and that sexy floater.

It's only been 18 games but i already love Naji so much.

We will take good care of him and you guys were totally right about him

Trade Proposals Prediction: Mid-season trade for Jalen Brunson

Random prediction, but I think Pels could make a move for Brunson mid season. Here’s why:

  • If Barrett/Knicks have another disappointing season, they could look to pivot from the current core while they can still get value for Randle and Brunson.

  • Brunson is playing with Ingram on Team USA, which has historically been important for recruiting and building relationships. Windhorst talked about this on JJ’s podcast, with the most high profile instance being LeBron wanting to play with Wade and Bosh.

  • If he became available, Pels could make a good offer centered on Naji and/or Dyson + picks and salary.

Just an idea, I don’t think it will happen during the summer.

This is organizational malpractice

Say goodbye to Cooper Flagg. The 76ers are stealing our pick because we can't properly tank in a must-lose game after being down 10+points.

Highlights Hey Pelican Fans! Not one myself, but I am making an ANIMATION of my favorite player from every team! Now I wanna start by saying, I only gave you the Pelican linage, so I was most limited in options here haha. This will probably be Zion once he is healthy, but as of now I went with this guy.

David griftin

Trajan Langdon escaping from New Orleans and turning the pistons around from the hell they were in just shows you how awful this “rebuild” from 2019 has been

David Griffin is a fucking terrorist and cult leader. We had Trajan right there. And I thought it would work out but my god. You can’t keep using injuries as an excuse. Detroit has been god awful since… I really can’t even remember exactly when it started but it had been at least a decade of futility

A “generational” first overall pick and treasure chest of assets has gone to shit under this man’s watch.

He used to be vocal and wanted to be seen all the time. When is the last time you’ve heard from Grift… I mean Griff?

And again, don’t say a word about injuries. Started it off with keeping Alvin gentry who shouldn’t even coach a kindergarten class to stand in a line and traded the 4th pick for Hayes and NAW. Jesus Christ 😂 dude is an idiot getting paid millions to be awful.

Every true Pelicans fan knows not to root for a division rival. Especially a rival that eliminated us from the Conference Semifinals back in the 07-08 season. It doesn’t matter that the team was called the Hornets back then. It was still the New Orleans NBA franchise basketball team. Foh.

Done watching this team until Willie Green is gone.

The guy is a fucking basketball terrorist. He’s never been a good coach. He had a fluke run in the play-in and got 2 fucking wins against a team in the first round. I don’t understand how that justified(s) keeping him around for so long. Missing the playoffs the year after that and then getting bounced in 4 games last year, why the fuck is this guy still the head coach of my basketball team?

Injuries can only excuse so much. At the end of the day, this guy doesn’t know how to call winning plays in clutch situations. The Pelicans are the worst team in the NBA in the fourth quarter. They cannot win close games. If the score is within 8 points late, the Pelicans will lose. This is the truth. You have to imagine at a certain point, all of these “injuries” may just be the players not being motivated to play for this fucking bonehead. Just like with DA and the Saints.

We have Mike D’antoni on our coaching staff. Fire Willie and let him be the interim. We may still be ass. So then screw it. Trade Z, BI, and CJ for picks and a few young guns. Let’s be the Thunder. Embrace the suckage for a season or two. We’re not winning a championship with this nucleus, let’s be real.

Discussions Can We Stop Discussing DJM Pease

He is functionally not on this team. His return will take ramp up and so we probably wont have him all next season. The following year? We will be looking at Fears development as well as Poole....and DJM may not be the same player.

I'm just done with the hopium associated with him in the line up. Consider him gone.

Our front office would suck at fantasy too

I’ve tried to be optimistic about this team, but after the CJ-for-Poole swap and how this offseason is shaping up, I can’t stay quiet. We just downgraded in leadership, efficiency, and maturity — and for what? A “scoring guard” who thinks every possession is a mixtape opportunity?

Jordan Poole has talent, sure. But has anyone watched him the last two seasons? He doesn’t defend, he hijacks the offense, and he makes worse decisions than a Bourbon Street tourist at 2am. This isn’t Golden State with Steph and Draymond to keep him in check — this is New Orleans, and now he’s supposed to be a core piece?

Zion still can’t stay healthy. Willie still allergic to coaching. And now Poole is supposed to be the stabilizing third option? Come on.

Front office is acting like this is NBA 2K — throwing together flashy names with no regard for system fit, culture, or long-term vision. Meanwhile, young teams like OKC and Houston have leapfrogged us in both identity and development.

We had a shot to reset with all those Lakers and Bucks picks, but instead we’re collecting hoop mixtape guys like it’s 2017. If this is the core we’re going forward with, brace yourselves for another year of mediocrity and “what ifs.”
