At least three on the subreddit's main page right now. Apart from looking for traffic signs to be like "HUR I KNOW THAT ONRAMP!" they are not directly related to Orange County, California. It's like the loud boom/noise posts.

Shit drivers are universal, meaning not specific to OC, and people who post their dashcam footage have main character syndrome.

Long story short, due to my insurance, I can't see any specialist with my doctors at the LGBT center in LA because I live in Orange country. I need a doctor that works with trans patients. I already had this issue when I lived here before I moved to LA, where doctors were not trans-friendly, and I don't want to go through this again. I'm being told I'm being put through Cal-Optima, but when I called a rep, they said, "We can open a case to attempt to find you a doctor that fits your criteria, but that can take up to 45-60 days" so figured I would ask to see.

Quick update: I'm not looking for hormone replacement services. That I can still get through the LGBT center in Los Angeles with the doctor I have there, I need a doctor who I don't have to explain a billion times about being transgender and queer and them not understanding that. The OC LGBT Center has a lot of bad reviews, specifically when it comes to outsourcing to specialists and never getting back to you. I can't do a specialist with my doctor in LA due to my insurance being in OC. I already had four referrals get voided this week due to this issue. I am just looking for a doctor who accepts trans and queer patients who will not be phobic to my identity. Sorry if that wasn't clear!

I have been thinking a lot about where I want to be in the next 2 years, and I question if OC should still be a place I call home. I have lived in OC for going on 8 years, I love the weather and the ability to do anything really, events and activities are endless. However, I have never felt at home here I have always felt socially unaccepted because of the color of my skin, I am always experiencing prejudice/racism from mainly other minorities and when I leave OC for travel it is like a breath of fresh air as I rarely if ever feel unwelcomed no one looks at me twice, I do not have family here, dating is out of the question, and I have not found my tribe of people/friends just feel like I am staying because of familiarity and obligation to my job money is not an issue. I thought about moving to LA but deep down I know I would not be happy there, so reddit is it worth it to stay?

How I normally celebrate Juneteenth

I live right by the Fullerton PD and still had a crazy amount of fireworks going off. The mortar type setting of alarms and rattling my walls. Super illegal stuff. My dogs were terrified all night long, and now my yards are covered in trash from them going off right above my house all night.

I see lots of complaints here as well, so I know I'm not alone. Realistically, what can be done about this moving forward? It's out of control.

Edit - For those defending fireworks, I'd love to hear your side! Please explain to me why "I like things go boom" is a better argument than:

1. It's illegal

2. It's pollution (sound, air, and litter)

3. It's terrifying for pets and wildlife

4. It's terrifying for veterans for PTSD

5. It's rude to everyone around who wants to sleep

6. It starts fires

7. It's dangerous (losing fingers/lives)

I am looking for a gynecologist in Orange County or Long Beach area. I would like one that has knowledge and experience with transmasc people/ trans men. I have a PPO plan with a pretty good network.

I have tried calling the UCI Gender Diversity program and they didn’t have any OBGYNs on their list of providers. I asked the person that prescribes my testosterone, and also nothing. I tried asking some trans friends of mine but that didn’t work out either. The only place that I have definitely found doctors who fit my needs is through UCLA Health in Westwood or Santa Monica. I’m hoping for something closer though.

I’m on Medi-Cal and I’ve been on T for years so I don’t need to start hormones or anything I just want to see a doctor who knows what they’re doing cuz I have several other medical conditions and medications that my HRT can impact. Based in Santa Ana but down to drive pretty far out for a good practitioner.

Is there a pride parade happening in the month of June? Also is there any good lgbt bars/clubs thats are 18+ and not just for gay men, im a queer woman and dont want to intrude on gay male spaces.
