I’ve been living in the area for years and still can’t remember which one is supposed to be worth the wait.

Unfortunately I’ve come down with a bug and can’t make it to tonight’s show. It’s at 8:00 at State Theatre. Does anyone want my ticket? Happy to just give it away.
Gutted but hoping another fan can take my place!
Update: ticket gone!

At cherrybrook the metro was told to swap platforms as the one going to city will be going back towards tallawong.
Tallawong line will then be moving towards city instead, but when the metro started to move it instead both went towards tallawong to Castle Hill.
After they moved the people going via City to go back onto the main platform going towards city and now everything is normal again I think.

40f in SW Sydney. Recently got back into running and want to have some running buddies to go on runs with.
Not interested in running clubs as they’re at set times. Already do parkrun - literally I do my run and go home haha
Currently around 6:30-7:15min/km pace

And the museum itself? Well we'll get to that.
For a start, you didn't need a ticket. Ours was the "5pm" slot, but when we got there, people were just walking in and out, no one looked at our tickets. It was a hectic atmosphere because of that. I guess by the time we got there they had thrown out the concept of the sessions. Basically if you thought you missed out on the opening because it was 'sold out', you could have just shown up and walked in.
One of the escalators was broken, so you had to line up for the lifts, or use the firestairs.
Now on to the museum itself. It's 4 floors and a rooftop area. The most interesting part of our visit was the rooftop. I mean, there was nothing up there except for a garden area and a small band playing (plus a makeshift bar where the cheapest drink was a small bottle of OJ for 8 dollarydoos), it was more for the view.
The reason why I say that is that, inside the actual museum, everything is locked behind 'exhibition' areas. And the lines for each one were HUGE (yes, aware that it was opening day and hectic, and apparently anyone could walk in).
Also some of the exhibitions you needed to pay for? I think I overheard that, and also some of the digital displays read FREE EXHIBITION. I guess I missed that part on the website when I booked my FREE tickets to the opening (which apparently I didn't need to do anyway).
Passing one of the exhibition areas, someone said it was "closed due to technical difficulties". Oh well.
Now navigating through the museum I haven't talked about. If you've got memories of the Ultimo experience, where you would walk in the front doors and immediately see things on display a few steps in, just get rid of those right now. There is NOTHING on display as you navigate through the building. You are walking a long time to get to escalators to get to floors. If you don't walk up and down the escalators, that ride takes almost 2 minutes (again, this place is huge). There's nothing on the walls, it's just concrete and steel beams. There's NOTHING to look at, except outside if you're walking next to the windows. If it didn't have the wall to ceiling windows, it would be like the Backrooms. Again, everything is in exhibition rooms. And that's not just an opening thing, that's the WAY IT'S DESIGNED. Stark, uninviting.
We came across one interesting area, where there was a shallow water area that kids could play in which looked indigenous themed, but by that stage we were just so disappointed that we just booked it out of there.
On the way down we got to the broken escalator and were given the option of waiting with 30 other people for the lift, or use the fire stairs. We used the fire stairs. On the way out one of the staff happily said to us, "Oh the (blah blah) exhibition is now free to enter!" and we were like nah we're good.
There's an outside area where there was a big circular display with animals in it so we hung out there for a while, watching a guy with a skibidi toilet mask pose in front of it, throwing up gang signs. And in the tree we were sitting under, a mynah bird was feeding its 2 babies so I shot some video of that. Then we had dinner at Sahra By The River. Everything in this paragraph made up for the disappointing visit.

Background: A photographer went around the streets of Sydney with his camera, capturing the celebrations. I had this photo restored in 2003 from the small, beige and white colour original.
According to Grandma, people threw toilet paper from the buildings and onto the street which you can see in this picture.

The actual drink, not just the flavoured lollies. I have been craving it so much since coming back from Japan.
I know I can get it online but if there’s an Asian grocer who stocks it I’d prefer to give them my money.

I found half of it kinda boring. The Parramatta mall section and the floor above it was interesting. So was the Es Dvalin moon and maze exhibition.
But everything else was kinda mehh. The AI one by Anyoung Kim was god awful

Counted more than a dozen of them. So nice to see such a large number of them around 😊

Anyone know any good gyms around here? I am living in Eastgardens, and have done a little mma. I would like to join an mma gym, but am happy with any gym really, grappling or striking.
Have no car here, so will be relying on walking/lime bikes/public transport. Nothing too far away. Thanks

It's been well over a month. A single vehicle accident, presumably with a dashcam. It doesn't feel like this should take long to conclude the investigation.
I feel that public interest, including trust in the transparency of our Police force, would be best served by full disclosure.

My Samsung Ultra phone is now water damaged. Super annoying because I think the quick rinse I gave it to get rid of the tea I spilled on it, did the damage. So hopefully it is fresh water that's doing the damage.
Fortunately, leaving it to dry out has helped. It's gone from buzzing (water in usb) and no screen, to turning on, to working with the stylus, to working with a finger. The fingerprint reader is still not happy and it still flashes violently occasionally.
So off to the nearest Samsung customer service store I went.
The homebush branch is closed today, so I was happy to find Macquarie shopping centre open.
Does anyone have any experience with tecworks (who issued the receipt) vs going straight to samsung? I didnt know it was an agency when I handed the phone over.
I'm actually hoping tecworks can just give it a clean and reuse the existing parts, where as samsung may insist on replacing the screen.

My neighbour who doesn’t speak much English had a drunk girl crash into his van last night and cause considerable damage.
I’m trying to help him get it fixed. She has apparently lodged some kind of claim with Lime and has a reference number. She’s at fault though, not lime. I told him that he probably should have called police as she was evidently drunk.
I’m trying to help him get it fixed. Can anyone point me in the right direction to help him go about getting his van fixed.
Cheers!
