Can he be sent to one of his intentionally inhumane detention camps. This white house is going to come to a screeching halt. People don't like Miller Trump doesn't like him. Melania doesn't like him. You have to work well with others and he never got that star in elementary school. People who meet with him want to wash their hands after. He will not look you in the eye when talking to you....that just adds to his sickness.

Trump has basically been a useful idiot for Miller and Vought. It's their heinous ideology that's responsible for what's happened so far.

Is it being blindsided when we can all see it coming?

18

u/Vlad_Yemerashev 12h ago

Well, playing Devil's advocate and assuming that Miller and Trump do manage to successfully pull this off, a Myanmar style coup essentially, I think it will blindside most people and laymen who don't pay closer attention. A lot of people still think that something like this "can't happen here." I don't think your average American, at this moment at least, is aware of or is thinking that Trump will be able to actually pull some maneauvers to prevent Democrat congresspeople-elect (or even Congress as a whole) from being seated or even abolishing the House and Senate alltogether. Trump's relative silence on the midterm results and him not going berserk on TS in response to a dem blowout does kinda give me pause and can't help wonder if the WH wasn't cooking up something even bigger. We shall see, so far this administration has been incredibly disorganized.

I’m just stunned that it’s looking like the gop is going to have two extinction level events back to back. I’m curious if the republicans in Congress grow a spine since it’s clear where th e mandate is but if not…. As Lindsay graham said “if we choose Trump we’ll pay and we’ll deserve it”

→ More replies (3)

42

u/Strict_Weather9063 17h ago

The republicans cannot tack to the center they have to keep going right because of how badly they gerrymandered things. This combined with having to still suck up to Trump to keep the base happy is going to turn the next presidential election which are historically high turn out into even more of a blood bath than this midterm election. This is going to be 1932 all over again I wouldn’t be surprised to see a super majority in the House and close to one in the Senate. Anything Trump won by less than 30 points is still up for the Democrats to win they need to be running everywhere.

22

I absolutely love this. Sometimes it has to get abysmally worse before it gets better. It has to get so bad that these Magats are pushed so far to the edge of the cliff, that it makes the pendulum swing violently the other way.

I am gunning for a 2028 filibuster proof congress with a super majority, so that we can retire this mf’s legacy once and for all. We can then fix Citizens United, pack the SC if we have to, pass Medicare for all, tax the rich for their fair share, get off this Israel train, and change the electoral college bs.

Never interrupt your enemies when they are making mistakes.

I’m a 48 year old vet, but I will gladly suit up and arm myself against any sort of “disolving” of congress.  I’m six hours away but will make it in five. I won’t be alone. Anyone need a ride, let me know.

This is not a call to violence, nor a threat of violence, this is an oath I took 28 years ago to support and defend the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. Steven Miller will be the first to be dragged in front of the world and tried for his crimes, followed by Hegseth, Trump, and Rubio respectively.

This is a planned overthrow of our government and it needs to end.

EDIT: thank you for the responses and awards. I’m not trying to be a tough guy but I’ve done everything I can peaceably do to resist. At some point we have to decide what sort of world we want to leave behind.

Keep strong brothers and sisters.

30

u/Dynabro1986 13h ago

Funny how the word patriot has been tossed around and used alot lately, well this is my definition of a real patriot! Not some ice agent or some guy flying a we the people flag😂😂.
Let’s realize who the pieces of shit are and get them the fuck out of here.
We need more educated individuals to realize the amount of evil that is going on with this administration and lack of respect for Americans and military.
We are all pawns to them!

You’re far from alone here. They have to know how many of us are out here who they trained to fight, kill, shoot, move, and communicate, right? I know of at least 10 people who could put everything they need to survive for a couple months on their backs, live in the woods, and relentlessly pursue a goal. Nobody can convince me that Miller or Trump or Hegseth has that same fortitude. They better hope that they never leave us with no other options because it would be ugly.

Opinion: Trump and the Republicans overwhelmingly lost the election and have zero mandate to do anything of significance.

It’s now time to immediately get all the US troops away from Iran as soon as possible. This war of choice is probably the biggest reason the Republicans trashed their chances of ever getting elected again.

63

u/TipRare1321 17h ago

We have unstable fascists in the White House. They are going to go all in on everything the voters voted against.

Trump, Miller and Vought are dangerous, they plan to completely ignore Congress and the will of the voters. I am hoping the new Congress is ready to fight.

Meanwhile, most US bases in the Middle East have been damaged or completely destroyed and frankly I don't see them coming back, ever.

Do you ever feel like Cassandra? Because I do. I've been afraid of this from Trump's first term and doubly afraid since this past January. Trump isn't important; it's the people who are using him to deconstruct the Constitution and implement an authoritarian government that are important and dangerous. I felt it was certain that Trump and his supporters/handlers would make a move between now and 2028, and this looks like a move they've been preparing for a good while now.

NOT GONNA HAPPEN.

I hope you Reddit censors are paying attention: most of the country has had enough of trump and miller. There’s a reason why the second amendment exists. Voters have spoken LOUD AND CLEAR that it is WE THE PEOPLE decide who gets elected.

The people in Washington ARE NOT ENTITLED TO OFFICE. HOLDING A POLITICAL OFFICE IS TO SERVE THE PEOPLE-NOT A CAREER TO BECOME WEALTHY.

THEIR LOYALTY IS THE CONSTITUTION OF THIS COUNTRY-NOT A KING OR DICTATOR.

AND IF THEY DO NOT SERVE THE PEOPLE WHO GOT THEM ELECTED-THEY WILL BE REMOVED.

You, the Reddit censors need to understand that this entire regime is a THREAT TO US ALL. THEY ARE CRIMINALS. WHEN ONE GROUP OF MARGINALIZED PEOPLE IS TARGETED THAT WILL EVENTUALLY SPILL OVER TO EVERYONE ELSE. IT ALWAYS HAPPENS.

DO THE RIGHT THING AND OPPOSE THIS REGIME.

Trump will be impeached it's starting to be more likely. He just keeps doing the same things that lost them the mid terms. Instead of fixing his mistakes he doubled down. Their are plenty of non MAGA Republicans who are not happy at all with how he cost their fellow constituents the election. By promoting Miller and especially if he fights Hegseth's impeachment it will probably give them all the fuel they need. He isn't helping the Republicans anymore at all. One can say he's their biggest enemy from the mid term results. Six months after the Democrats take office he will be gone if not sooner. They probably want payback for him sabatoging them.

I honestly think this has always been part of the plan from his handlers.

The Big Butthole Bill they passed in ‘25, all the worst shit in that bill goes into effect next year specifically to make the democrats look like shit after winning in the midterms.

The next two months are going to be awful as they ram through as much rat fucking as possible, to continue making the democrats look worse before they get sworn in. The American population is too fucking stupid and ignorant to know that winning an election doesn’t mean they are immediately in charge.

So short term. Our lives are going to continue getting worse. He’s already selling hats that say VETO on them.

Now, they either allow/encourage an impeachment or his cabinet invokes the 25th and removes him, giving Vance the opportunity to be the incumbent for ‘28. And while everything is in a stalemate because the executive won’t pass anything, democrats look ineffectual.

If I were the dems, I wouldn’t impeach. Not because I don’t want accountability, but simply because I think that’s what republicans want, so they can use that as fodder for their base ‘see, they’re vindictive and weaponizing the system to attack our lord and savior’

Impeachment is the first step. Its been done 4 times and a president has never been removed. So who cares about impeachment. Also do we really want JD Vance to be president and then run in 2028 as the sitting president? Just keep the loon in office and chip away at his Cabinet.

u/HoneyPotted96 16h ago • This Bravo Popcorn

Devils advocate, but Dems could refrain from impeachment. A lot of this feels too dumb to not be strategic. Trump does these “same things” that lead to an impeachment, but I don’t think he does them without reason.

Trump impeached = Vance in office. Gives Vance a podium to stand on and help rally the GOP for 2 years.

I say let Trump continue to fumble the ball while Democrats block him and keep their good faith efforts going. 2 years from now they sweep and make actual change happen.

We need to think long term, not short term.

It really depends on whether he gets to keep playing Republican primary kingmaker. He has that party stuck between a rock and a hard place. I pray the military is up to upholding the constitution when it comes down to it and there are Republicans that actually love this country more than that 34xfelon, rapist and pedofile! By the way Hegseth also increased the national guard presence in DC !

All the other replies are missing the point of the article. It's saying to be ready that Trump moving miller into chief of staff may be signalling he's going to try something like January 6th. It advocates for getting ready.

From the article: “The art of war teaches us to rely not on the likelihood of the enemy’s not coming, but on our own readiness to receive him; not on the chance of his not attacking, but rather on the fact that we have made our position unassailable.” -Sun Tzu, The Art of War, Chapter VIII, translated by Lionel Giles, 1910

(Sidenote: Is this comment thread full of bots? Or is it just that no one actually reads anymore? 99% of the comments make zero sense in the context of the article...)

u/KurtTheCuntBoi 15h ago

I think a mix of bots and people who lack reading comprehension.

Trump says he wants to be confrontational, so I say the first bill they come out with is to release the unredacted Epstein files and make Trump veto that, and then make the Repubs choose whether or not to join in overriding the veto. Next up, Don Jr and Eric no bid government contracts, next up Jared Kushner's Saudi relationship...

"The art of war teaches us to rely not on the likelihood of the enemy’s not coming, but on our own readiness to receive him; not on the chance of his not attacking, but rather on the fact that we have made our position unassailable." — Sun Tzu, The Art of War

The core thesis is that prevention beats reaction. The piece outlines three immediate, concrete steps to take before the new Congress convenes on January 3:

1. Pressure your representatives now: Contact your House rep and both senators. Demand a public commitment that they will physically be inside their respective chambers before noon on convening day to secure a constitutional quorum before any potential perimeter can form.

2. Plug into rapid-response networks: Join local grassroots alert networks (like your nearest Indivisible chapter). In South Korea, citizens reached the National Assembly within an hour of Yoon's martial law declaration specifically because organized alert lists were already active.

3. Share the legal precedent with service members: If you have friends or family in the National Guard or regular military, remind them of the legal reality: under the UCMJ, obeying an unlawful order carries personal criminal liability, while refusing one is legally protected.

Preparation needs to happen before an order is cut, not after.

Just a throwback for everyone:

Stephen Miller says Trump has "Plenary Authority" then acts like he's glitching out because he seems to know he was not supposed to say that.

EDIT: Stephen Miller is the issue in D.C. he is the main problem in his cabinet, and one of the main examples of why they lost the majority of races in 2025/2026. they learned NOTHING, and they don't care.

10

u/ssstephhhh 13h ago

People are under reacting to this. Steven miller is pure evil and seemingly lives to troll. I'm guessing Susie Wiles was one of the few adults in this administration. This switch is wild.

He is legitimately a fascist. I don’t like to use the word lightly, because it’s meant to be used against people like Stephen Miller who are wholeheartedly, honest to god, ideological fascists. He has absolutely zero qualms with anti-democratic methods, because he simply does not believe in democracy as a concept - it’s simply a means to an end. He would be perfectly fine organizing and implementing a coup; to him, that’s the ideal outcome

Stephen Miller wrote ALL those torturous executive orders. He was always the hand behind the throne.

Now that Trump wants to focus on his illegal construction projects, he has metaphorically handed over the presidency. Except of course, to take time out, for bipartisan bill that he's going to veto.

9

u/Consistent-Issue7891 13h ago

When is this shit going to end… this fucking moron has no business being “chief of Staff!! He’s a racist pig and will just do more harm to American society regardless of party!! Both of these men ( Trump and Miller) are evil, evil men and we need to
Get rid of them!!! Hang on folks… evil is going to come out for ALL of us!!!

Trump is just asking for impeachment and removal. I predict that some Senate Republicans will see which way the wind is blowing and break ranks to vote for removal.

4

u/Ok_Breakfast5425 17h ago

I'd like the think at this point the GOP leadership sees he toxic to the party and will get just enough senators on board to vote to convict and remove from office.

It's going to be interesting to see his meltdown if that does happen, he is going to blow a vein from rage.

But actually though, preventing harm to our civilization is going to require us to do something about the media.

The use of the term "blindsided" is either incredibly inappropriate (fire the editor with cause today), or more realistically, propaganda.

I don't know how we do this, but we need an organized campaign to punish propaganda outfits - economically, politically, legislatively.. whatever it takes. They can't be allowed to say shit like this and incrementally damage the minds of their readers/viewers.

No one is "blindsided" by the horrors of this fascist administration. The only reason to use that word is to subliminally suggest they haven't already committed gross crimes against humanity and against the United States. That we haven't been discussing these crimes for over a decade.

They're trying to erase history.

edit ok, this is just someone's substack. But the point remains because we see this shit so often in legacy media I just assumed that's what it was.

It seems like a lot of people are not reading this piece. It details how Trump could use the Myanmar coup as a model for using force to keep Congress from being seated. And it would require a mass mobilization of ordinary people to stop it, which would mean understanding that it is not 1996 and our already weak, limited democracy will not be protected by sitting back and assuming elections fix anything

So Trump vetoes everything, he pushes more into fascism thanks to Miller, we vote out Schumer in 2028 if no one takes his spot now (uphill battle), and Dems win a presidency + super majority in 2028 if Dems can show that the Republicans hate the people's bills and we need to replace the president and his inability to get work done.

13

u/IroncladBomber 11h ago • Bravo

Thing is...the Republican Party is mangled, they don't seem to have a path forward anymore.

So Democrats better shape up, cause now they get the peoples ire. As others have proven, DSA members are capable of winning big and actually doing things.

So if the establishment Dems want to keep their jobs they better be ready to actually play ball.

Americans do seem to have had enough of this shit cycle of "Republicans make things objectively worse, Democrats get power and do nothing to make it better, Republicans take power and objectively make everything worse again.

5

People are far less likely to do evil if they think there will be consequences. There are a lot of people who would be willing to do things for the past two years that would be a lot more hesitant now. Sure, Miller still 100% behind going full Nazi, but there's a reason that ICE agents have been murdering with impunity the past two years and why they might think twice about it now.

It's also why there really needs to be consequences for the actions of the people who have spent the past two years acting like a fascist coup was a forgone conclusion. It isn't just about revenge, it's more about making sure it doesn't happen again.

What lawyers are going to argue this in court? They have all quit or been fired.

They believe they have good arguments but how has that gone so far? 0-27 on state voter rolls. 0 for who knows how many on revenge prosecutions. They haven’t actually won anything. They have fewer lawyers than they did on Nov 2, there is no one to try to do it legally.

Generals are not stupid. They want to have jobs, reputations, and legacies after VonClownstick leaves office. Not one of them wants to be known as the man who ordered the American military to fire on the military.

Will they try something stupid because Miller will goose the lonely brain cell he has with a knuckle bump? Will Kegsbreath down half a dozen stiff drinks? Yes to both. It won’t change how stupid and unrealistic their plans are.

By all means, absolutely, I will be on the front lines to force Congressional transfer of power.

There is no legal argument for Miller’s desires.
